1 , a clear trend of lower smoking cessation probability for higher levels of deprivation was evident; the least deprived neighbourhood decile had the highest crude incidence rate of quitting at 236.99 (95% CI 224.02, 250.71) per 1,000 person-years, while the most deprived decile had the lowest rate at 161.29 (95% CI 151.31, 171.93) per 1,000 person-years (Table 2 ).
