In contrast, a recent retrospective registry‐based analysis of 397 patients undergoing carotid stenting showed a trend toward lower risk of 30‐day events among patients treated with high‐dose statins, suggesting a potential dose‐dependent benefit of statins in this population. 35 Furthermore, clinical trials of patients with stable coronary artery disease, such as TNT (Treating to New Targets), suggest an incremental clinical benefit of high‐dose statin therapy over moderate‐dose therapy. 36 Although it is unclear why we did not observe a similar dose response in the carotid stenosis population in this study, variations in study cohort and LDL levels may help explain this discrepancy.
Subgroup analyses based on baseline BMI categories showed inconsistent trends in the semaglutide arm: weight loss during treatment (week 0 to week 68) showed no clear trend across increasing BMI categories, but over week 0 to week 120 showed a trend for greater weight loss in the subgroups of patients with higher versus lower baseline BMI categories, in part owing to a lesser weight regain in the 40 kg/m 2 or higher subgroup than most others.
(2024) due to the same reasons as previously stated, the pooled analysis of two observational studies also showed a trend towards reduced risk of bleeding in the reduced dose of enoxaparin, as compared with the standard dose of enoxaparin (Supplementary Fig. 6 ), but did not reach statistical significance [RR 0.34, 95% CI 0.06–1.84, I 2 = 38%].
20 , 21 Furthermore, Uchinami et al found that CRT showed a trend for better CSS than RT for patients with clinical T1N0M0 EC invading the muscularis mucosa or submucosa. 18 Thus, CRT other than RT alone may be a more reasonable additional treatment mode in terms of the failure pattern and more effective regional therapeutic effects of CRT.
qRT-PCR data for GTPase RhoA ( Figure 3J ) and phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase ( Figure 3K ) showed a trend similar to that of the array data ( Figure 2A ), where GTPase RhoA showed fewer transcripts at the 4 or 12 h time points, and phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase showed lower mRNA expression at the 12 or 24 h time points in E 2 -treated samples compared to controls ( Figure 3J and 3K ). qRT-PCR also showed a significant increase in phosphatidylinositol 4-kinase transcript numbers at 24 hours of transition in controls compared to E 2 -treated samples ( Figure 3K ).
