To map more finely loci that were identified in multiple families from the same cross, we pooled data from each of the families from the same cross in which a locus was nominally significant.
3.3 Multiple comparisons among different monoclonal antibodies Nominally significant differences were observed in the following variables: baseline exacerbations per year, baseline hospital admissions per year, and eosinophil levels after 12 months of monoclonal antibody treatment ( Table 3 ).
In models showing nominally significant interaction effects, post-estimation marginal analyses were used to inspect the pattern of adjusted group differences.
Mendelian randomisation To further examine the nominally significant genetic correlation between hippocampus and MDD, MR analysis was performed to test for a directional association between hippocampal volume and MDD.
In addition, we found nominally significant positive genetic correlations with smoking status for IS, ICH, and FG ( Table 1 ).
For overall survival, 311 nominally significant gene combinations (10 two‐gene combinations, 301 three‐gene combinations); for PSA progression, there were 566 nominally significant gene combinations (16 two‐gene combinations, 550 three‐gene combinations); and for radioclinical survival, there were 160 nominally significant combinations (6 two‐gene combinations, 154 three‐gene combinations).
After adjusting for current emotional symptoms, the scales were only positively associated with psychotic disorders ( frequency : OR = 1.41; 97.5% CI = 1.06–1.83; distress : OR = 1.37; 97.5% CI = 1.06–1.73), with a nominally significant association with trauma and stress‐related disorders and a negative association with phobias.
Associations involving the genera Granulicatella and the Carnobacteriaceae family were nominally significant but did not remain significant after FDR correction (q > 0.05) and should therefore be interpreted as exploratory (Fig. 3 ).
Two of the 3 previously published trans associations, rs13107325 in SLC39A8 and rs3733402 in KLKB1 , associated with BNP:NT-proBNP ratio in the meta-analysis of the discovery and replication samples (rs13107325 P =2.19×10 − 9 ; rs3733402 P =0.00277) and the meta-analysis P value of rs13107325 with NT-proBNP ( P =0.00496) was also nominally significant.
Both studies’ top SNPs in the basonuclin 2 gene ( BNC2 ) locus were only nominally significant in our data ( P rs2153271 = 0.0044; P rs62543565 = 0.0351), and in the interferon regulatory factor 4 ( IRF4 ), melanocortin 1 receptor ( MC1R ), and agouti signaling protein (ASIP ) loci, their top SNPs were predominantly monomorphic in 1000G East Asian samples (Supplementary Table S2 ) or were only weakly significant in our data (Table 2 ; P IRF4,rs9405675 = 0.0113; P MC1R:rs8060934 = 0.0027).
The PFC showed nominally significant transcriptome-wide impact scores at 1 or 3 months of age for all SCHEMA mutants, with the exception of Akap11 +/− and Dagla +/− , for which the TWI score did not reach statistical significance in any brain region at 1 or 3 months of age (Supplemental Fig. 1B , Supplemental Table 3 ).
While we did not observe any associations between PRS-CRP and reaction times on the simple reaction time or digit vigilance task, we did observe a nominally significant association for reaction times on the choice reaction time task in analyses split by median age, with effects in opposite directions.
Consequently, nominally significant tumor suppression observed in underpowered, genetically homogeneous murine models often fails to capture the profound inter- and intra-tumoral heterogeneity characteristic of human epithelial ovarian cancers, ultimately contributing to high rates of clinical attrition.
False positives arise when a test yields a nominally significant result, while in fact there is no real difference between the comparison groups.
Stability of methylation association across age The associations between methylation at birth with ADHD symptoms and methylation at school age with ADHD symptoms were largely consistent for nominally significant probes.
Although a nominally significant association with the C2C2 genotype emerged in one model, this effect was not robust across alternative model specifications or age‐stratified analyses, and the CIs were wide, indicating limited stability of the estimate.
We therefore believe the influence of these nominally significant variants on gestational glycometabolism will be confirmed by additional studies. pmc-status-qastatus 0 pmc-status-live yes pmc-status-embargo no pmc-status-released yes pmc-prop-open-access yes pmc-prop-olf no pmc-prop-manuscript no pmc-prop-legally-suppressed no pmc-prop-has-pdf yes pmc-prop-has-s
77 Polymorphisms in BDNF , DRD4 , DAOA , and TPH1 (tryptophan hydroxylase 1) were found to be nominally significant; however, none of these findings was significant after correction for multiple testing.
As six SNPs were included in the analyses, Bonferroni correction was used to account for multiple comparisons: P-values below 0.008 were considered statistically significant, while P-values between 0.008 and 0.050 were considered nominally significant.
A nominally significant p value between sex and race for AgeAccel ( p interaction-term = 0.049) was observed but not for IEAA ( p interaction-term = 0.058) or EEAA ( p interaction-term = 0.6).
