While the indirect effects of the overweight/obese body image condition (compared to the athletic thin condition) on AVG ( p = 0.058) and PA motivation ( p = 0.085) via NE were marginally significant, the indirect effects of the average body image condition (compared to the athletic thin condition) on AVG ( p = 0.019) and PA motivation ( p = 0.046) via NE remained significant, indicating the robustness of this particular effect.
