Partial least squares regression of lipidomic data related to FCS showed that the changes in the top-ranking lipids associate with the increase of adipocyte cell size in obesity ( Figure S3 ). In line with this, triacylglycerols were also elevated in the adipose tissue of obese twins at the marginal significance level false discovery rate (FDR) q <0.1 ( Figure S4 ).
This study is among the first quantitative studies to examine the correlates of child apprehensions among marginalized and stigmatized populations such as sex workers. Our findings lend support to existing qualitative studies that suggest there is a cyclical nature to child apprehensions; sex workers who had been apprehended as a child had 48% increased odds of having their children taken away from them, though this only retained marginal significance when adjusted for other factors in multivariate analysis, suggesting other mechanisms may drive this risk.
Given the marginal significance of the sex*season interaction, we separately estimated monthly survival for the males and females in the non-breeding season ( φ non-breeding male : 0.8454, 0.8170–0.8701; φ non-breeding female : 0.8526, 0.8236–0.8776), as well as in the breeding season ( φ breeding male : 0.8091, 0.7646–0.8468; φ breeding female : 0.7801, 0.7381–0.8170; Fig. 6a ).
In conclusion, our retrospective analysis in patient with mCRPC, mostly treated in post-docetaxel setting, showed that high Gleason score, lower PSA and LDH levels before starting abiraterone were significantly associated with long-term abiraterone exposure (a marginal significance being found for lower ALP).
