Griffith et al, 40 who performed a meta-analysis of the effect of calcium on blood pressure, found a small statistically significant effect of calcium on lowering systolic blood pressure independent of baseline blood pressure, and a small trend toward reduction in diastolic blood pressure that did not reach statistical significance.
Cavβ1b was able to significantly increase the surface pool of WT-Cav1.2-HA (10145 +/-790 ALUs, p = < 0.05 ANOVA), and there was a strong trend towards increased surface expression of A39V-Cav1.2 (10109 +/-842 ALUs), however, this effect did not reach statistical significance (also see Additional file 2 : Figure S2).
Two RCTs found no significant difference regarding the performance of functional tasks between resurfaced and non-resurfaced patients [ 46 , 139 ], whilst two other RCTs showed a trend toward increased pain with stair ascend and descend, although values did not reach statistical significance [ 25 , 156 ].
DN-SCP-MCMV-infected mice treated with IL-18BP alone also succumbed by day 10, but although it did not reach statistical significance, a slight trend toward a better survival up to day 12 was nevertheless observed when the mice received a combination of DOX and IL-18BP (Figure 4 A).
EA-ONCE/1 (Electroacupuncture Administered Once at PID 1) While EA treatment given only once at PID 1 showed a trend towards reducing tumor-associated nociception when compared to the tumor-no EA groups, this did not reach statistical significance in either male or female animals at any of the time points tested ( Figure 3(a) ).
In order to test whether this was a reflection of a general increase in histone density, we further examined the density of histone H2B but did not find a reproducible increase in the RTT patient samples on any loci, and a slight trend toward higher histone H2B occupancy did not reach statistical significance ( Fig. 3B ).

Interestingly, the inverse correlation observed for bCSp did not reach statistical significance (2A) when epitope-conservation was defined as mCSp (r = −0.40, p = 0.139, Figure 6A ), although the data showed a trend in the same direction as was observed for the bCSp analysis.
