DISCUSSION The salient findings of our study are as follows: (1) at a simulated intraocular pressure of 50 mmHg, there is a statistically significant difference in total volume of egressed fluid from the silicone tube with one versus two fenestration(s); (2) there is no significant difference if simulated IOP is 40 mmHg or less (the 40 mmHg group was very close to being statistically significant with a P -value of 0.08); (3) in the opening pressure trials, the second fenestration opened at a pressure of 28.83 ± 5.09 mmHg.
The evaluation of fAGP and six tumor makers to diagnose malignancy indicated that CA19-9 ( p = 0.0019) and SPan-1 ( p = 0.0241) had a statistically significant difference in pancreas cancer but that no such significance was observed in the other factors nor in the other diseases with all factors even though there were a few exceptions that were close to being statistically significant.
As shown in Table 9 , raised risks were observed in all age-at-risk groups, although only for the 65+ age-at-risk group was the relative risk close to being statistically significant greater than 1 (RR = 2.04 (95% CI 0.96, 4.35) after adjustment for chemotherapy and hormonal therapy), based on 15 cases among irradiated patients.
The correlation between the mean dose and SUVmean relative difference was significant in five assessed regions: R hippocampus (r (22) = 0.45, p = 0.03), L occipital lobe (r (23) = 0.52, p = 0.01), L parietal lobe (r (23) = 0.66, p = 0.001), frontal lobe (r (23) = 0.42, p = 0.05), and R occipital lobe (r (23) = 0.55, p = 0.01), and one assessed region, the cerebellum (r (23) = 0.37, p = 0.08), was close to being statistically significant ( Table 3a ).
While there were no significant differences in age, gender and tumour site between the two groups, the P value of the age comparison was very close to being statistically significant ( Table 1 ). 3.3 Comparison of the CT enhancement rate as a function of the tumour necrosis rate Comparison of the initial CT enhancement rate pre-chemotherapy: the average enhancement rate was 1.75 (median 1.68, range 1.18–2.51) in the group with a necrosis rate greater than 90% and 1.62 (median 1.52, range 1.00–2.41) in the group with a necrosis rate<90%.
While the number of ER+PR− tumours giving rise to this hypothesis was comparatively small (19 out of 189), the OR associated with uPA–PAI-1 was remarkably similar to the one observed among patients without hormonal receptors and neither of them was close to being statistically significant.
