As for MMSE, in the mild WMH subgroup, there was also a positive correlation with FPN SC–FC coupling before FDR correction ( r = 0.102, p = 0.049, FDR p = 0.32) (Table S8 ), and a positive trend after controlling for the above covariates ( β = 0.087, p = 0.08).
