Differences between epicuticle and exocuticle were highly significant for both H and E (see Table 2 ).

An interesting trend was elucidated by Hay et al. in 2014 16 , where the success rate of drugs entered clinical development in phase I and subsequently approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is nearly one-in-six.

The post-hoc Dunn’s test showed highly significant differences between LG05, LG13, LG03 and LG11 from the other chromosomes (Supplemental Table 1 ).

Both complete datasets and the WCM open-habitat subset showed a highly significant correlation, while both BMH subsets showed a less significant correlation (but see lower sample size in the latter).

WCM forest subset showed only a marginally significant correlation, despite a higher sample size (Supplementary Table S3 and Fig.

LowSupp had the greatest Ct.BMD of the three groups and showed a trend for decreased resorption and formation in the cortical region, while OPSupp had the lowest Ct.BMD and showed a trend for increased formation in both the trabecular and cortical regions.

Mortality showed a decreasing trend in the experimental group, but the results were not statistically significant.

One can see that the difference in localization power between ET or CE alone compared to their combination is quite significant both at low and high redshift.

Patients with excess blasts (RAEB1/2) tended to have lower AMC (median 0.19 versus 0.32 for patients without excess blasts, p < 0.0001) and lower AMC were found in higher IPSS-R categories (very low, 0.37 × 109/L; low, 0.30 × 109/L; intermediate, 0.25 × 109/L; high, 0.16 × 109/L; very high, 0.20 × 109/L), while there was a highly significant difference in the AMC between higher risk (intermediate, high, very high) and lower risk (very low and low) MDS according to the IPSS-R (0.21 × 10 9 /L vs 0.33 × 10 9 /L, p < 0.0001).

This was the case with the SARS outbreak in 2003, where an increasing trend in fatality rate is suggested by the CFR estimator but in fact, it was a false alarm caused by the way of calculating 6 .

Although, in our study an association with SMI could not be confirmed, we found a highly significant negative correlation with patient age and VFA.

Regarding slope values an increasing trend (absolute values declining) can be seen in all age groups throughout the cycles and the opposite trends (because of the opposite sign) were seen in the cycle dynamics of SWA and lnSWA.

A close to significance positive correlation was found between MSSD of IC8 (i.e., attention network) and the size of Stroop effect ( r = 0.468, p uncorrected = 0.007, p corrected = 0.062) (Fig. 3 ; see Table 2 for details).

These measures do not conform well to straight line fitting despite having a highly significant p-value as displayed in Fig. 8 .

Nevertheless, there was a nonsignificant trend toward increased LF/HF ratio during post-call as compared to pre-call workday.

Total power in less sleep group had an increasing trend post-call day which could be due to PNS activation.

After processing the data using the Seurat pipeline and analyzing the single-cell expression data, gene set enrichment identified Epithelial gene expression, Cigarette smoking , Airway epithelium , and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease as the top gene modules with highly significant p-values, confirming that smoking-related pathways were correctly predicted using E.PAGE (Table 7 ).

Executive functioning, social cognition, and social adaptation Concerning the influence of EF on SA, we identified a positive relationship between EF and ToM (a component of SC), which was moderately associated with affective empathy (statistically, it was marginally significant).

The low R-squared values obtained for the R 2 , adjusted R 2 , and the predicted R 2 show that even noisy, high-variability data can have a significant trend.

Influence of the temperature Similar to BOil, in the case of CombOil, a decreasing trend of of I 2 is observed on the hydrogen permeation transient recorded under voltage at room temperature (Fig. 3 a).

Importantly, adjustment for age and sex, which were imbalanced between the CHD cases and controls, had only a small effect on the hazard ratios for COPD, which remained substantial and highly significant (Table 2 ).

Both EXTEM and INTEM CT showed a trend towards longer clotting time indicating reduced amounts of clotting factors.

Here, a reduction of the runtime by two orders of magnitude is absolutely significant.

Similarly, highly significant regressions were observed between the K + /Na + ratio (leaf, stem, and root) and physiological attributes (Fig. 5 C–F).

Given that a previous study identified a near-significant association at the CFA10 locus in a case–control GWAS within the ACS breed 12 , we further investigated the genotypes at the CFA10 SNP in the present ACS population—85.7% of affected dogs were homozygous for the A allele compared to 62.5% of controls (Supplementary Table S1 ).
