Meanwhile, a highly significant correlation (R 2 = 0.9126) was found between the qRT-PCR results and the RNA-seq data for the 12 candidate unigenes (Fig. 10 ) which also suggests that the RNA-seq data are reliable and reflect the expression levels of the transcripts.
