The two variants were not genome-wide significant in our study, but nominally significant into the same direction (p = 0.018 and p = 0.003).
Excerpts
Critically, there was a highly significant interaction of Emotion-relevance × Action-relevance that survived our stringent cluster correction in a late time-window from 650 to 790 ms (t 8 = 3.15, P = 0.018, Corr), and that reflected distinct response patterns to the FEAR and NEU faces (Fig. 3 c–f).
Further, relative to APOE ε4 + ve/ KIBRA T carriers, the APOE ε4 + ve/ KIBRA non-T carrier group showed a nominally significantly greater rate of decline on the verbal episodic memory composite, however after FDR correction this remained only a strong trend (p = 0.018, q = 0.055) over six years (Fig. 2 , Table 3 ).
borderline significancep = 0.018
pSTAT3 corrected for Rac1 Rac1-corrected pSTAT3 protein levels in IBD patients groups on thiopurine monotherapy AZA/MP (median 0.66 AU) or TG (median 0.68 AU) were reduced compared to IBD patients with active disease with borderline significance (median 1.33 AU) (p = 0.018 and p = 0.016, respectively) (Fig. 4 C).
This association was marginally significant in group 2 subjects (Coefficients, −0.002; 95% CI, −0.004–0; P = 0.0185), but was no more valid in group 3 subjects (Coefficients, −0.005; 95% CI, −0.011–0.001; P = 0.0985).
The Mann-Whitney U test for two independent-samples revealed a highly significant difference in the mean LD of the type I (P = 0.019) and type II (P = 0.000) myofibers when shallow- and deep-diving groups were compared.
close to significancep = 0.0190
This result was statistically significant at 16 mM glucose and close to significance at 5 mM glucose (p = 0.0190 and p = 0.0649, respectively).
The correlations for D score and RMET were nominally significant but did not survive Bonferroni correction: D score, r s (99) = 0.233, p = 0.019, RMET, r s (53) = 0.329, p = 0.014.
Effects of SSES on RS-EEG microstates The ANOVA results showed that the interactions of SES × SES level were significant for occurrence of MS3 [F (1, 150) = 8.629, p = 0.004, η 2 = 0.055] and marginally significant for contribution of MS3 [F (1, 150) = 5.637, p = 0.019, η 2 = 0.036], while there are no other significant results; the main effects of SES and SES level, as well as the interaction of SES × SES level were not significant for duration of MS3 (See Table 2 ).
Meta-regression revealed a dose–response relationship only between volume and 6MWT, with a decreasing trend ( P = 0.019, 95% CI − 1.63 to − 0.20).
Nominally significant differences were detected between olanzapine-treated patients carrying COMT rs4680 AA, GA and GG genotypes in the total PANSS 0–6 scores (p = 0.019; Kruskal Wallis ANOVA and Dunn’s test), and in the PANSS 0–6 positive subscale scores (p = 0.027).
ANOVA and Duncan`s grouping confirmed the highly significant differences between tested shrubs in both pollen germination percentage ( P < 0.019) and pollen tube length ( P < 0.0001) of the freshly collected pollen and the two storage conditions.
carnea complex very few individuals were caught, treatments generally did not differ significantly (Table 1 ) with the exception of a slight significance of females caught by 1 mg vs. 100 mg (p = 0.019, Wilcoxon rank sum test with Bonferroni correction).
failed to reach significancep = 0.0191
Despite a significant main effect for segment of session, freezing levels were low and post hoc tests failed to reach significance (Fig. 6b ; segment of session: F(1, 60) = 5.8, p = 0.0191; group: F(3, 60) = 1.82, p = 0.1531; interaction: F(3, 60) = 1.214, p = 0.3123).
Response of biological traits The global testing procedure (a multivariate statistic equivalent to the sum of eigenvalues from RLQ analysis) was highly significant ( P = 0.0196 for Model 2 and P = 0.0192 for Model 4), suggesting a globally significant correlation between biological traits and environmental variables (Fig. 6 ).
An increasing trend in Ct values for ORF1b/N (SARS CoV-2), M1/NS2 (Flu A/B), M (RSV A/B) was found from T1 to T3, reaching statistical significance for the SARS-CoV-2 RdRp ( p = 0.0199) (Fig. 2 ).
However, the values of D* and F* were highly significant ( P < 0.02).
We observed a decreasing trend of fluoroquinolone prescription in hospitals (τ = − 0.52, p = 0.02) and clinics (τ = − 0.94, p < 0.01) (Fig. 1 , Supplementary Table 1 ).
Additionally, the multivariate-adjusted ORs for frailty showed an increasing trend across the PSQI 6–8 and PSQI ≥ 9 groups compared to the PSQI ≤ 5 group ( p = 0.02).
Concerning CF, only the AER+R group showed a marginally significant improvement (Z = − 2.331 p -value = 0.02; r = − 0.549).
2 D) also increases over time, where again the change is dramatic in the PANC1 + MRC5 AOCs (increase in mean size of about 4 times in 24 h, p < 0.01) and less so in the PANC1 + PSC AOCs (factor of 1.8 increase with modest significance of p = 0.02 over the same time period).
Moderate deficiency (10–20) showed a strong trend toward worse OS that narrowly missed significance. Liver metastasis was independently associated with significantly worse OS (adjusted HR 1.42, 95% CI 1.06–1.91, p = 0.02), consistent with published literature where HRs for liver metastasis typically range from 1.4 to 2.0.
The correlation approached statistical significance (p < 0.06) for the subset of genes (n = 13) that were assessed on day 6 post-infection and there was a highly significant correlation (p < 0.02) for the subset of genes (n = 10) evaluated on day 8 post-infection.
Conversely, among LMW metabolites, formate and acetate showed a significant trend towards increase in cord blood of FGR fetuses (p = 0.02 and 0.01, respectively) (Table 3 ).
In contrast to EWL, for which only a positive trend could be observed (Fig. 3 D), total weight loss significantly correlated with urinary oxalate levels in the total cohort (r = − 0.3; p = 0.02) (Fig. 3 E).
