Effects of Nitrogen Topdressing Rates on the Enzyme Activity of SSS in Grains at Differential Spike Positions The SSS activity showed an overall trend of increasing and then decreasing with the increase in the nitrogen topdressing rates ( Figure 3 ), and the response to it varied among different spike positions.
Notably, there was no significant difference between the K90 and K120 in maize yield, and the maize yield of S0 showed a decreasing trend from year to year, which means that single potassium fertilizer or excessive potassium fertilizer application could not obtain a sustainable increase in yield.
Regarding the metabolites identified by GC-MS, there was an overall trend of increases in the contents of the identified metabolites in the OE-3 line in comparison to the WT, including most of the amino acids, in agreement with the spectrometry quantification mentioned above.
In the leaves of Hordeum brevisubulatum , under drought stress, the expression of HbNHX2 gene showed a trend of increasing first, then decreasing and then fluctuating, which was significantly up-regulated at 3 h of stress, reaching a peak (1.41 times).
The high-affinity SlNRT2 and SlAMT genes showed a clear trend of upregulation in both root and leaf tissues under LN conditions compared to CT ( Figure 5 B,C).
In August, the Pn peaked, with P100 and P75 treatments significantly higher than CK ( p ≤ 0.05), displaying an overall trend of initial decrease followed by an increase.
In the middle and late stages of the growing season, Pn showed a trend of first decreasing and then increasing, with P50, P75, and P100 gradually increasing.
As can be seen from Table 3 , the p -values for the models on ER ( Y 1 ), MLN (Y 2 ) , MPH ( Y 3 ), and U n ( Y 4 ) were all less than 0.01, indicating that the fitting degree of the four constructed regression equations was highly significant.
This finding is consistent with a previous study on blueberry plants, where a positive trend in polyphenol content was observed following BC and WD treatments, although the differences were not statistically significant [ 25 ].
The analysis results reveal a highly significant and consistent relationship between increasing aridity and the likelihood of olive habitat loss across all scenarios and periods ( Table 6 ).
Essential Oils and Their Roles in Plant Protection Worldwide, climate change shows an increasing trend of extreme weather phenomena, and agriculture is the most affected human activity by them [ 14 ].
Evaluating the correlations between IBC and APD estimates in the four data sets revealed a highly significant negative correlation in each data set ( Figure 3 E–H).
Moreover, we observed that while legumes contributed only 1% to above-ground biomass, their below-ground biomass showed an increasing trend following the removal of other PFGs.
