Discussion We found highly significant associations between observed relative abundance and plant traits using as few as two traits, > 60% of the variation in relative abundances could be predicted with as few as six traits, and essentially all of the observed variation in relative abundances was captured using all 16 traits.

Significant trends of λ-values (without standardizing) along water depth gradient were detected for tuber ( Fig 3e ) and leaf nitrogen content ( Fig 3g ), while marginally significant effects of water depth on λ-values were detected for rooting depth ( Fig 3d ), stem diameter ( Fig 3h ), leaf dry mass content ( Fig 3j ) and shoot height ( Fig 3o ).

An interaction between working as a cleaner and early life disadvantage was significant for wheeze and borderline significant for asthma symptoms.

Given the limited sample size, the confidence intervals in seroprotection and seroconversion rates overlapped between groups in the sub-study, however point estimates showed a clear trend towards higher antibody titer increases in the Advax-adjuvanted groups, with the Advax 10mg dose group achieving the highest point estimates across all three vaccine strains for seroconversion, seroprotection and GMT fold increases across the vaccine strains ( Table 2 ), and it is noted that H1 A/Cal and B/Bris showed more advantage.

A longitudinal miRNA gradient may be significant for regulating gene expression, as microarray expression data revealed that predicted targets for both miR-182 and miR-96 were enriched in the basal (proximal) BP at P0, where the miRNA levels are lower [ 13 ].

Three of the SNPs (rs1268055, rs7785891 and rs2782448) were nominally significant, though none remained significant after Bonferroni correction.

Focal players with a higher skill achieved relative to the experimental player also made more positive comments (β = 0.29, χ 2 = 5.12, p = 0.02); there was a near-significant interaction with manipulation such that the experimental player in the female-voiced treatment received more positive comments when focal players were of a higher skill level, but fewer positive comments when the experimental player was higher in skill ( Fig 2 ).
