Four other variants were extracted from the GENIE study, which were trending towards significance at the five percent level (rs191101580, rs187087030, rs8060932, rs8062123); one of these (rs8060932; p = 0.08) was shown to be in LD with another SNP, rs4238595 (r 2 = 0.89), associated with FJHN [ 21 ]. rs13333226 has been previously reported to be associated with reduced urinary uromodulin excret

Androstadienone showed a trend toward increasing the attention of older adults to subliminal emotional faces, particularly angry ones ( Fig 1 , overall trend p = 0.08) as it had in younger adults [ 24 ].

Compared to control households that predominantly cooked indoors, intervention homes that reported indoor cooking showed a reduction in median concentrations of 37%, which was only borderline significant, possibly due to the smaller sample size ( p = 0.08).

STAT1 protein levels were unchanged at 2 hours and 6 hours, however at 24 hours a strong trend in increased protein production was detected in the stimulated cells ( Fig 3D , P = 0.08, + Bb 2 hours vs. + Bb 24 hours).

Also, APOBEC3B mRNA levels measured in distant metastases ( N = 35) showed a trend towards higher expression when compared to regional lymph node metastases ( N = 20) of unmatched cases (Mann-Whitney U test P = 0.08, Fig 2A ).

The effects of time (before and after TI) and genetic line on eye temperature were significant (P = 0.03 and 0.01, respectively), while the test time by treatment interaction tended toward significance (P = 0.08, Table 1 ).

There were no other significant main effects or significant interactions although the main effect of hand approached significance, F(1,29) = 3.21, p = .08, as did the hand by group interaction, F(1,29) = 3.41, p = .08.

Room was a marginally significant predictor of indoor fungal community composition (ADONIS, df = 3, F. model = 1.26, R 2 = 0.06, p = 0.08.

For RT scores, there was a significant main effect of rumination on NA ( β = .25, SE = .04, p <.01), and the interaction between rumination and the RT scores of the emotional n -back was marginally significant ( β = −.07, SE = .04, p = .08).

In paired comparisons of Recurring and New stimuli, the effect approached significance only for the Foreign language [900–1200 ms: Foreign: t(8) = 2.0, p = 0.08; Native: t(8) = 0.95, p = 0.37].

Since the differential expression of Opn4 only approached significance (p = 0.08), we examined the expression of Opn4 by qPCR in WT and OC1-KO retinas at E14.5.

Heterophils (p < 0.001) and the HL ratio (p = 0.004) were significantly higher in the outbreak turtles compared to the post-outbreak turtles, while the difference in total leukocyte count and monocyte count approached significance (p = 0.08).

Depletability beliefs as a main effect approached significance, F (1, 63.00) = 2.62, p = .080; however, no other effects emerged, all p s > .31.

Results In Experiment 1, for pleasantness ratings, an effect of “Age” (F[1.36] = 6.693, p = 0.01) associated to an effect of “Hedonic valence” (F[1,36] = 370.990, p<0.0001), and a nearly significant “Age-by-Hedonic valence” interaction (F[1,36] = 3.039, p = 0.08) were observed, suggesting that whereas no significant effect of “Age” occurred for unpleasant odors (p>0.05), older adults rated pleasant odors as less pleasant than did young adults (p = 0.004) ( Fig. 1a.i ).

There was also a near-significant positive trend between diversity and low-intensity developed space (estimate = 0.268 ± 0.153, t = 1.755, p = 0.080), and although shrubland was retained in the best model, the relationship with this predictor was non-significant (t = 1.598, p = 0.110).

There was a significant effect of pH treatment on growth rates ( P = 0.01), with higher growth at pH 8.05 than 7.65, no significant effect of flow/DBL thickness ( P = 0.67) but and a near-significant interaction term ( P = 0.08 Table S2 ).

However, in Peverly, Garner and Vekaria’s study [ 10 ], the association approached significance (p = 0.08) and they argue the non-significant results may have been significant with a larger sample size (due to a lack of statistical power).

In the PP and SILP, the CD8 T cell compartment showed a trend towards increased early-activated CD8 T cells after WT- treatment only ( WT vs. medium P = 0.08 and P = 0.06 resp.) ( Figure 3C ).

The effect of previous exposure on general appetite was borderline significant (P = 0.08) and therefore, the effect of odour was investigated only at times 1 and 5 min.

Comparison of the BMI of ≥ 25 to the receptors, resulted in borderline significant differences ( p -values = 0.08) ( Table 4 ).

Migraineurs had a significant difference between 1s and 8s trials (student t-test, p = 0.03 in CW, p = 0.02 CCW), but controls did not quite reach significance (p = 0.08 in CW, p = 0.06 CCW).

Moreover, a marginally significant trend existed toward progressively diminishing accuracy in the prelude to an error ( F 1,19 = 3.3, p = 0.08; Fig 1C ).

There was a marginally significant main effect of the preceding trial type [ F (1, 17) = 3.45, p = .08, η 2 = .03], a significant main effect of the FA type [ F (1, 17) = 15.00, p = .001, η 2 = .10], and a significant interaction between two factors [ F (1, 17) = 24.359, p < .001, η 2 = .20].

The percentage of average number of comments/reach was higher and nearing significance (p = 0.08) for dynamic experimental videos at 0.7%, compared to static image posts at 0.3% ( Fig 2B ).

Note that including the two outlying individuals in the analyses only impacted overall accuracy (not response times), and made the difference between the accuracy for the valid nature trials ( M = 0.81, SE = 0.02) and valid urban trials ( M = 0.74, SE = 0.03) marginally significant; t (84) = 1.75, p = .08).
