Statistical analysis carried out on the timing errors, pooled over all subjects after averaging over all repetitions of each condition (four-way ANOVA, 3 [viewing distance] x 5 [ball descent duration] x 2 [figure type] x 6 [character type]), showed highly significant effects of character type ( F 5,1168 = 113.188, P <10 −7 ) and figure type ( static versus dynamic , F 1,1168 = 25.180, P <10 −6 ), less significant effects of viewing distance ( F 2,1168 = 3.602, P <0.05) and of the interaction between character type and figure type ( F 5,1168 = 2.569, P <0.05).
Excerpts
Ethnic Affiliation Related Pattern distributions differences in the various ethnic groups, which returned highly significant differences between the groups at the 5% level (χ 2 , p<0.0000001), have revealed that the Nilo-Saharan Berta manifested significantly higher Arch frequencies (18.68%), which is high both with respect to the other studied local ethnic groups (having arch frequencies less than 7%), as well as relative to other studied populations worldwide [ 3 , 4 ].
Nevertheless, the observed degree of overlap was extremely significant (5 sites in both log-phase #1 and #2, p = 1e-7; 9 sites in both log-phase #1 and heat-shock, p = 3e-15; 14 sites in both log-phase #2 and heat-shock, p = 2e-18; all p -values computed by hypergeometric distribution), due to the vast number of possible nucleotides evaluated from throughout the transcriptome ( Figure 3 , Table 1 ).
Regarding the favorability hypothesis, the combined effect of political climate was highly significant when the covariates were controlled ( Z = 6.68, p <.0000001) and when the covariates were not controlled ( Z = 6.45, p <.0000001).
A 2-way ANOVA on proportion of correct recalls revealed no main effect of group (F(1,34) = 3.51, p = .065, r = .25), but a highly significant effect of type of Encoding (F(1,34) = 44.45, p<.0000001, r = .75), and a significant interaction between Group and type of Encoding (F(1,34) = 9.14, p<.005, r = .46).
If we obtain the average expression for all those RBRs and we compared it with the average for the HECT genes, the Pearson correlation coefficient for the expression values in the 79 tissues is positive and highly significant (r = 0.82, p<10 −7 ).
Fisher’s exact tests further supported the differentiation in eight populations, indicating highly significant gene differentiation between all pairs of populations (P<10 −7 ).
From duplicate measurements for each of three independent DNA preparations per construct, we again saw no effect of shRNA targeting Zfp423 , but a highly significant decrease on overexpression of human ZNF423 (p<10 −7 , Tukey HSD pair-wise test after one-factor ANOVA).
Testing this in a univariate linear model, we found the association to be highly significant (beta 1.13, p < 1e-7, Fig 4 ).
The Kruskal-Wallis rank sum test revealed a highly significant effect of feedback on rating (p<10 −7 ).
In this case, the first two PCs were highly significant, namely a Tracy-Widom test P-value <10 −7 , but the additional lower ranked PCs (third and onwards) had P-value larger than 0.05.
The Pearson correlation coefficient for the model predictions versus Months to Progression of -0.75 is highly significant (p = 1.19e-7).
The Kruskal-Wallis test of correlation between genome size and chromosome number was highly significant with p = 1.196E -07 .
For both phenotype traits, highly significant p -values ( p = 1.2×10 −7 for BMI and p = 4.8×10 −10 for type 2 diabetes) were attained for rs1421085, which belonged to LD cluster 3, while the other assayed SNPs except for rs9941349 showed almost equivalent levels of significant association in Asians ( Table 1 and Table S2).
Most strikingly, an independent analysis identified a highly significant overlap in the differentially expressed set of genes: the correlation between the expression ratios in the two studies was 0.57, with a corresponding of P = 1.27×10 −7 .
rs1456315 was found to be marginally significant in the African American GWAS ( P = 1.29 × 10 −7 ). rs1456315 and rs72725879 are linked ( r 2 = 0.815) in the Japanese American GWAS population and have similar allele frequencies across East Asian populations while rs1456315 and rs72725879 are less linked ( r 2 = 0.448) in the African American GWAS population and have divergent allele frequencies across African populations ( Fig 2 ). r 2 values between SNPs were calculated using PLINK in each individual case-control study.
However, it is striking that among the Beijing lines there is a wide variability in PI content ( Figure 2A ), and inter-line variability is highly significant ( P -value = 1.37×10 −7 .
This difference was highly significant (Wilcoxon test, p = 1.4×10 −7 ).
For each parameter and across the 1000 parameter sets, f del shows a highly significant correlation to S , but one that is only modest in value for some parameters (Spearman’s R = 0.16–0.76, P < 1.7×10 −7 , n = 1000 for all parameters), illustrating that S cannot generally substitute as a measure of f del .
The association between MRS and ΔBMI in non-smoking samples is highly significant (n = 1,243, β = 0.045, p = 1.96 x 10 −7 , R 2 = 0.021), albeit with a slightly diminished effect size estimate (empirical p < 0.0061, calculated using 10,000 random samplings of 1,243 FHS samples) compared to association in all samples (n = 1,508, β = 0.055, p = 5.80 x 10 −12 , R 2 = 0.031).
However for responses evoked by octopamine and dopamine the correlation is high and highly significant (OA: r s = 0.93, p = 2e-7 [n = 24 responses from 6 oocytes]; DA: r s = 0.97, p = 2e-7 [n = 14 responses from 5 oocytes]).
This is highly significant in EUR, when compared to the negative control regions, and modestly significant in ASN (<p = 2x10 -7 and p = 0.01 for EUR and ASN, respectively) and appears inconsistent with the null hypothesis of neutral evolution and demography at the LCT locus especially in the EUR populations.
This comparison revealed 56 common genes, representing a highly significant intersection ( Table S2 , P = 2E-07).
However, according to the Spearman rank correlation analysis the expression of IGF-IR and VEGFR-2 was highly positively correlated and statistically highly significant (r = 0.745 and p = 0.0000002) ( Figure 7 ).
Lab values of included intervals ), mean baseline HIC and SF were not different (p < 0.7 and p < 0.2 respectively); overall, HIC and SF worsened during deferiprone treatment (p < 0.001 and p < 0.0003, respectively), and improved during deferasirox treatment (p < 0.001 and p < 0.0001, respectively); follow-up HIC values differing between deferiprone and deferasirox monotherapies were highly significant (p < 0.0000002).
