Studying healthy participants remains, therefore, a means to an end, a first step to delineate and understand pain mechanisms that might be significant to further our understanding of mechanisms underlying chronic pain.

p < 0.05 was considered significant (*), p < 0.005 highly significant (**).

Interestingly, the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) shows an increasing trend as the doping ratio of conjugated molecular additives (Z1, Z2) increases, as shown in Fig. 2c , increasing from 33% to 49% and 41% for Z1, Z2, respectively.

More interestingly, the current density and luminance of the devices based on the F8BT blend films show a decreasing trend as the doping ratio increases, but unlike the Z2/F8BT blended film, the Z1/F8BT blended film still maintains 70% of the initial luminance at 20 wt%, and this corresponds to the maximal crack onset strain.

A notable trend emerged where the production rate of CH 4 experienced a sharp increase upon elevating the light intensity from 8.9 to 11.3 W cm −2 (Fig. 11d ).

Among all loci, 59/60(98.3%) loci demonstrated consistent directionality and had a nominally significant P value below 0.05 between the two hospitals, suggesting little heterogeneity and high fidelity of our genetic discoveries (Supplementary Data 2 , Supplementary Fig. 4A , Supplementary Fig. 4C ).

Hematoxylin & eosin (H&E) with histopathological scoring by M.P.R., renal pathologist, in a blinded fashion showed an increase in interstitial inflammation in both diabetic groups as compared to their respective non-diabetic controls, with an increasing trend (non-statistically significant) in the diabetic NPHS2-rtTA mice as compared to the diabetic KLF6 PODTA mice (Supplementary Fig. 2a , Supplementary Table 2 ).

Although this enhancement in vitro is not as dramatic as expected, it might be significant in vivo because the actual concentration of Mst7 and Pmk1 in vivo might be much lower than that used in the in vitro assay.

We note that despite the highly significant muscle eQTL, VGLL3 was lowly expressed in human skeletal muscle (median transcripts per million (TPM): muscle = 0.9 TPM), whereas it was highly expressed in human adipose tissues (subcutaneous adipose: 24.8 TPM, visceral adipose: 17.4 TPM, GTEx 60 : Supplementary Data 8 ).

In addition, the signal of AlCl 4 − at 349 cm –1 exhibited an initial enhancement followed by a decreasing trend, which was attributed to the release of AlCl 4 − during preliminary discharge (above 1.80 V) and subsequent further insertion of Al 3+ .

Consistent with these differences in nucleobase composition, a motif search revealed highly significant enrichment of a 9-b, A-rich, poly-purine motif (at 4163 sites, 10.3 sites per kb, E value 1.7 − 73 ) in positive regulatory fragments (Fig. 4b ).

With regard to heating, the market for heat pump (HP) systems in Europe shows an increasing trend with record high installations of over 2 Mio. in 2021 16 .

For the cumulative sea ice production (SIP) in June to August of each year during 2000–2013 available from satellite estimates, there was an overall trend of increasing SIP with increasing winter SAM (Fig. 3a–n ).

The presence of an excess of highly significant P -values for cells harboring targeting gRNAs versus non-targeting controls (NTCs) also indicates that this multiplex framework successfully detects upregulation of genes from CRISPRa perturbations (Fig. 2d ).

We next performed a within-trio analysis, quantifying the difference in PGS liability between a proband and each of their parents and compared this quantity with repeated random sampling from nominally significant PGS with matching direction of effect and not linked to proband VUS HPOs (N permutations = 10,000; median PGS per proband = 168).

However, among patients with TP53 -mutant cancers, self-reported Black patients showed a trend towards increased WGD events in a pan-cancer analysis and a significant increase in the NSCLC cohort (Fig. 2F, G ).

For MIS-C, there was a significant trend of decreasing Factor 1 scores between T1 and T3.

Remarkably, the various datasets align smoothly on an increasing trend.

There was also a strong trend for the DEGs to have only one or two exons.

In quantitative terms, these four fCO 2 -products suggested that the Pacific Ocean contributed 0.04 Pg C yr −1 decade −1 of the 2010s trend in the North, while the other three fCO 2 -products (below the fCO 2 -product average) suggested that the Pacific Ocean had a negative trend in the 2010s (−0.01 Pg C yr −1 decade −1 ), as simulated by the GOBM average.

This is induced by the fact that three of the seven fCO 2 -products suggested a greater trend in the 2010s compared to the 2000s, and a fourth fCO 2 -product suggested a strong trend in both decades.

As expected there is a decreasing trend for similarity in sequence-level mutational tolerance with increased divergence, with a notable sharp drop around ~70% divergence.

Expressions of core autophagy genes 27 showed a trend of decrease with age at both the mRNA and protein level in the liver (Supplementary Fig. 9 ), a tissue in which age-related decline in autophagy activity has been well demonstrated 28 , 29 .

Lungs of the NS8593 treated mice showed a trend towards less immune infiltration, correlating with the decreased illness exhibited by NS8593 treated mice (Fig. 8f ).
