After the sacrifice, we also observed a positive trend in the spleen weight in CCl4-treated animals, compared to control mice, immediately after CCl4 treatment cessation, at week 14, but they did not reach statistical significance (Supplementary Fig. 3B ).

Except for foothills, the indices of human activity show a decreasing trend from the Early Modern (460 yr cal BP; 1490 CE); probably related to progressive agricultural abandonment of mountain environments 59 leading to a gradual return of forest cover 17 , 60 , which may also have been favored by climate change 61 .

Frozen shoulder patient tissues showed a trend towards increased proportions of lymphoid cells and PECAM + vascular endothelial cells and a smaller increase in myeloid cells relative to comparator tissues.

Of these, the TTR , GCKR , FOXP2 , and PPP1R3B lead SNPs, denoted as such based on their closest TSS, were at least nominally significant at one or more of the measured timepoints.
