Indeed, cellular component ontology analysis demonstrated a highly significant increased expression of ECM-related genes in P30 compared to P5 choroid ECs ( Fig. 1f and Supplementary Data 1 ).
Excerpts
In an additive genetic model, we did not find evidence for association between the noncoding rs6601627 and ToF (MAF=0.03, OR=0.89, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.67–1.20, P =0.46); however, for GATA4 p.Ser377Gly, the association was nominally significant (MAF=0.11, OR=1.24, 95% CI 1.06–1.45.
P values of P <0.05 were considered significant (*), P <0.01 (**) and P <0.001 (***) as highly significant.
WT CHCHD10 transfected cells showed a nonsignificant trend toward increased mitochondrial length compared to vector control transfected cells both at basal and carbonyl cyanide 4-(trifluoromethoxy)phenylhydrazone (FCCP) conditions ( Fig. 3i–k ).
No significant heterogeneity was observed between the study groups and the three singe-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are nominally significant in the Danish follow-up.
Sample size was chosen such that undisturbed wild-type behaviour in the climbing paradigm and wild-type behaviour after 3 days of stress treatment showed a highly significant difference.
DENV-immune macaques showed a trend with a shorter duration of viremia with only two out of four macaques having detectable levels of vRNA during the period of 7–15 d.p.i.
a slight trendgold
Examination of TB density levels indicated a reduction in the first week after stroke, with a slight trend towards an increase over time ( Supplementary Fig. 7e ).
At 3-months of age, heterozygous mice showed a trend of being less glucose tolerant, but only 30-min time point reached statistical significance.
While this particular result could be the consequence of a testing bias, we confirmed a highly significant correlation between the number of inhibitory interactions and metabolic reactions for metabolites across the network, revealing that central metabolites are the most frequent inhibitors ( Fig. 4f , P value 2.2e-16, r 0.627, Pearson’s correlation).
SDS-PAGE followed by antibody-mediated detection of β-actin in three independent experiments showed a trend for decreased F-actin/G-actin ratios in AIM1-depleted cells (Fig. 3d ).
Muscles of treated limbs exhibiting >46% of cMD1-positive fibres showed a trend towards a decrease in myofibre regeneration and of endomysial fibrosis ( Fig. 2b ).
The spectra exhibit a decreasing trend in the white-line intensities at 11,568 eV following this order: PtO 2 (2.20)>H 2 PtCl 6 (2.08)>0.2Pt/m-Al 2 O 3 -O 2 (1.66)≈0.2Pt/m-Al 2 O 3 -H 2 (1.65)>Pt foil (1.25) ( Supplementary Fig. 14 ) 37 38 .
an overall trendgold
Ectopic expression of Actβ produced an overall trend of decreasing the fraction of circulating hemocytes, although this effect remained statistically insignificant by t -test ( Fig. 3h ), and accumulation of hemocytes in ectopic areas seemed minimal ( Fig. 3c–f ).
The majority of these proteins exhibited an increasing trend (Fig. 2d and Supplementary Fig. 2D ).
The Development and Interaction networks encompassed broad functional categories, spreading the networks’ genes among many different categories, so that enrichment results rarely survive multiple testing correction; nominally significant functional enrichment terms are therefore included for the annotation of the Development and Interaction networks (Fig. 2 , top panel ).
a slight trendgold
1f ), whereas mice receiving a minimal number of WT islets had only a slight trend to improved blood glucose control by day 15 post-transplantation, which never completely normalized (Fig. 1f, g ).
PROX1 ChIP-seq was validated by comparing results of ChIP-seq with two different PROX1 antibodies raised against separate epitopes (Millipore, 07-537 and Proteintech, 51043-1-AP), which showed a highly significant Pearson correlation ( R = 0.96).
In the most significant HLA-DRA-DQA1 region, conditioning on HLA-DRB1 Leu67 ( P = 1.14 × 10 −29 , OR = 1.3) and HLA-DQA1 His129 ( P = 1.56 × 10 −13 , OR = 1.19) removed the effect of DQA1*01:02 ( P = 7.04 × 10 −22 , OR = 0.75, conditional P value is 0.54), DQA1*03:01 ( P = 3.99 × 10 −10 , OR = 1.27, conditional P value is 0.36), and rs3135359 ( P = 8.82 × 10 −21 , OR = 1.21, conditional P value is 0.06); however, the effect of rs2894257 ( P = 8.16 × 10 −36 , OR = 1.36, conditional P value is 1.2 × 10 −7 ) remained moderately significant.
Contrasted behaviours are also observed in the δ 18 O records, with TY decreasing throughout the Holocene and TALDICE exhibiting relative high values during the early Holocene followed by a minimum at ~8 ka, with an increasing trend from 8 to 1.5 ka and again lower values during the last millennium.
a clear trendgold
5a displays a clear trend over three orders of magnitude in P that fits to a square root function, \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$${\mathrm{\Gamma }} \propto \sqrt P $$\end{document} Γ ∝ P .
Furthermore, a highly significant technical issue is that it has not been possible to form a complete monolayer of TMA or TCPP on the BP surface.
2 ) can give a first global indication to policymakers and decision makers of where N legacy issues may be significant and delay improvements in groundwater and surface water quality.
Fourth, the associations with gene expression involve healthy participants and have relatively modest significance levels.
They will also neglect moderately significant SNPs in favour of the most significant SNPs despite potentially overwhelming support from correlated SNPs and proximity to biologically relevant genes.
