The lowest prevalence was consistently observed among the 12-to-17 age group, ranging from 23% to 27%, with an increasing trend throughout the years for which data were available.
Excerpts
In the male gender, there was an observed trend of increasing rates with age, although this trend was not evident in the female gender.
Among all the three exposures, p for interaction was only marginally significant for wearing thermal pants between Asians and Whites. 3.6.
However, it is important to note that even if environmental factors account for a small contribution to the variance explained in health-related outcomes, their effects on health at the population level may be significant and consistent over time [ 61 ].
The small sample in this study and resulting lack of statistical power may provide the best explanation, since the between-group comparison on depressive symptoms in fact approached significance.
Associations between broad COVID-19 exposure and mental health/wellbeing outcomes were moderately significant for DASS-21 depression, anxiety, and stress but not for the WHO-5 nor when only acute COVID-19 exposures were considered.
High levels of energy and mental resilience during work in this context, and during health crises in general, may be significant protective factors against burnout.
a positive trendgold
We observed a positive trend between BMI and a UF diagnosis; obese participants had 1.5 times higher odds of a UF diagnosis compared to participants with a normal BMI (OR, 1.49; 95% CI, 0.87 to 2.56).
a negative trendgold
However, there seems to be a negative trend over the last five decades regarding group mean levels of MC at an early age [ 14 , 15 ].
We found that the amount of metals and metalloids (Pb, Sb, Cd, and Co) eluting over time was highly significant in the plastic group.
Additionally, we observed a decreasing trend in the various mental health encounters as the NatureScore of a neighborhood increased ( Figure 2 ).
A significant trend was observed for race/color, TNM, and history of tobacco consumption.
The study found a trend of whitening and whiteness, with a worsening completeness of the race/color variable, and an increasing trend of non-completeness of the data [ 31 ].
In the US and HI, senior CRC CIRs showed a decreasing trend over time, dropping from 4.95% in 2000–2004 to 3.01% in 2015–2019 and from 5.32% in 2000–2004 to 3.35% in 2015–2019, respectively ( Table 1 ).
The senior CRC CIRs for CHamorus in GU showed an increasing trend over time, from 3.94% in 2000–2004 to 4.49% in 2015–2019 ( Table 2 ).
In a study that investigated the relationship between adiposity, CRF, and serum TT levels, bivariate correlations were moderately significant when CRF was controlled for BF%, or vice-versa, but remained weaker for testosterone itself [ 53 ].
In addition to the aforementioned malformations, genetic factors have been identified as highly significant in the etiology of ASD, due to the high heritability of the disease and the association with fragile X syndrome (FXS), Down syndrome, Prader–Willi syndrome (PWS), genetic microdeletions, and single nucleotide polimorphisms and mutations [ 16 , 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 ].
The correlation between the WAS and the WAI was highly significant ( Table 3 ).
Although the work was different, these findings presented an important trend, which should be clarified.
Despite an increasing trend in postnatal check-ups from 23% in 2010 to 47% in 2016 by qualified providers within 48 h after birth, the prevalence of qPNC remained alarmingly low at 6.6% in 2016.
However, amongst the mothers assigned to active treatment, their children’s behavioral problems and adaptive skills showed a trend of improvement across the 12 months of follow-up.
Health Behaviors of the Study Populations Of the 13 health behaviors examined, undergoing screening tests, influenza vaccination and smoking were statistically significantly different between the HCWs and the general public, while sleeping showed a trend for a statistically significant difference between the groups ( Table 2 ).
Telemedicine, representing one of the main areas of application of online healthcare, offers highly significant potential, especially for Increasing equity in access to social and healthcare services in remote areas, thanks to the decentralization and flexibility of the services offered, made possible through innovative forms of domiciliary care; Optimally redistributing human and technological resources between different facilities, covering the need for professional skills that are often lacking, and ensuring continuity of assistance in the territory; Offering valid support for emergency mobile services through the availability of teleconsultation services.
While the usage of different digital tools has fluctuated over the study period, our findings showed an increasing trend in the use of digital tools by PHEOCs.
Even though a few countries have observed a decreasing trend in suicide mortality, data from most parts of the world show an increasing trend in deaths due to suicide [ 4 ].
