Over time the δ 18 O blade presented an increasing trend due to leaf formation related to higher evaporative enrichment, until it is maximized by the end of the juvenile phase, and remained consistent during mature phase.
Excerpts
a positive trendgold
Since blades are supposed to follow the gradual increase of evaporative enrichment at leaf level, it displays a positive trend through the juvenile period.
Veins for both oak trees indicate positive peaks during the juvenile phase, and a decreasing trend until the mature phase.
As shown in Table 3 , all main effects of the individual QTLs were highly significant.
a strong trendgold
Our results were consistent with those of the past ( Eshed and Zamir, 1996 ) and overall, there was a strong trend for the less-than-additive model.
The only exceptions were Trento and Conthey for which we found slightly significant negative correlations.
The large differential expression of putative cuticle synthesis genes in the Arabidopsis data may be significant to an interpretation of the role of IDA signaling in abscission (discussed below).
This reversibility is thus of limited biological significance, but it might be significant in in vitro experiments where donor ADP-Glc is depleted, in which case re-mobilization of glucose monomers by the action of SSs can be expected.
This was followed by an increasing trend from 4 or 6 DAH to 10 DAH ( Figures 6C,E,F ).
NWE) was applied, highly significant difference between regions was obtained that accounted for 16.19% of the total variance, revealing that the CBP represents genetic variation not currently captured in elite European wheat.
The ABCG15 (m.1327 in PT2) and m.34904 in ever stress sites showed a trend of fall first then rise.
There were significant differences in eight amino acids due to water stress including four essential amino acids: isoleucine, leucine, threonine, and valine and four non-essential amino acids: asparagine, glutamic acid, proline (marginally significant), and tyrosine ( Table 3 ).
Quality of the Fruits The TSS content of berries was 5.4% greater in DF and NaCl than those of the TRASPBIO treatment ( Figure 7I ) and showed an increasing trend up to 30 days after the first harvest, then decreased.
The concentrations of K + showed a decreasing trend in all treatments, but the lowest concentration was recorded in the SP10 100 DAT, mainly because of the lower concentrations in fruits and pruned leaves (data not shown).
Solute content showed only few statistically significant differences between the regions (Table 3 , Figure 3B ), and a decreasing trend with increasing sample age (Table 3 ).
Fewer anticlinal cell divisions are probably associated with a decreasing trend of annual growth with age (Keunecke et al., 2009 ) but might be also interpreted as “opportunistic strategy” as it is obviously less costly since trees with top dieback produced wood with lower ( t / b ht ) 2 (6L) and thus wood density (Hentschel et al., 2014 ; Rosner et al., 2014 ).
The diurnal trend of leaf water potential shows a decreasing trend of water potential during the day.
extremely significantqualified
Why biomass decreases under drought stress Our results indicated an extremely significant decrease in dry weight on the 28th day.
Moreover, this population showed highly significant differences between drought and control conditions for all traits.
However, highly significant correlations were also observed in the case of cereals particularly when considered separately (Figure 1 ).
Sunshine hours exhibited a decreasing trend from autumn to winter, but then increased, from winter to spring, in both growth seasons ( Figure 1C ).
Thus, this GWAS study identified many true genotype-phenotype associations, and detected GWAS sites that were associated to already known genes with a highly significant effect on the number of spikelets per panicle (Table 4 ).
A mixed model was used to show which of the highly significant correlations appeared to have a linear relationship; those that did not appear to have a linear relationship are not shown.
In season wise correlation conducted among the yield traits, DFF showed highly significant association with DTM; TN with productive tiller number, panicle length and filled grain number; total number of grains with panicle weight in all the three seasons.
Statistical analysis revealed highly significant circadian rhythms in 2010 and 2011, and no significant rhythms in 2012 and 2013 ( Table 3 ; Figure 8 ).
