The mean CFU burden in αIL-1R1-treated animals was within 2.3-fold of the untreated groups, and only the αIL-1R1-associated decrease in the spleens of LZD treated animals approached significance.
Excerpts
Fingolimod and natalizumab showed a trend toward an increased rate of infection compared with interferon beta and glatiramer acetate, but no significance was found ( 3 ).
The blood and bone marrow showed a trend toward an increase in PD-1 + PD-L1 + Foxp3 + Nrp-1 − CD25 + CD4 + Tregs, but not a statistically significant increase ( Figures 3A–D ).
When hormone levels in male and female subjects were related to the respective titer increases/decreases, testosterone concentrations in males showed a trend toward negative correlation with titer increases from d0 to d28, and positive correlation with baseline NT titers and decline rates.
The microvascular permeability in WT → Bam32 −/− mice showed a trend of increase compared to WT → WT mice, which shared the same WT neutrophils but had different genotypes of endothelial background, and this reached significance at 15 min after superfusion with WKYMVm ( Figure 2B ).
( 33 ) reported a decreasing trend in baff transcripts correlating with levels 3–4 of kidney swelling grade.
However, we detected the significant difference of anti-CII IgG and IgG 2c after 3 weeks of CFA and CII injection ( Figures 3B,D ) while anti-CII IgG 2b slightly showed a trend higher in the STING-deficient mice ( Figure 3C ).
Indeed, the pathway is responsive to unspecific inflammation, and it is induced in chronic immune activation states because IDO is sensitive IFN gamma gene, and it is induced by inflammatory stimuli ( 27 ) that may be significant especially in locally relapsed HNSCC, which is generally an inflamed disease.
It may be significant to highlight that the repertoire of DCs commonly detected in the skin are cDCs and LCs, and, after infection, monocyte-derived inflammatory DCs and pDCs are found ( 326 – 328 ).
The authors showed a trend toward lower baseline Tregs and M-MDSC levels in non-relapsing patients as compared with relapsing ones, thus suggesting the negative impact of these circulating populations on the clinical outcome, without clearly distinguishing their predictive vs. prognostic value ( 51 ).
In the CD8 + compartment, the generation of multifunctionality demonstrates especially a clear-cut increase from 3 years of age with a highly significant impact of age, but not of infections ( Figure 4F ).
Peripheral monocyte numbers correlated positively with nitric oxide, which showed an increasing trend in a dose-dependent manner.
When the ELISA data from MS patients and controls shown in Figure 2A was assessed on the basis of carriage of these PLP response-permissive HLA types, there was still a highly significant difference between MS patients and controls for the PLP response-permissive HLA types, but not for those individuals who do not carry these HLA types ( Figure 4 ).
APC was the most common mutational gene in colorectal cancer, and its mutation has indicated a highly significant association with immune resistance ( 38 ).
Furthermore, the time course study revealed that the migration of KikGR-red uterus-derived total DCs, CD103 – DCs, and CD103 + DCs in the dLNs showed an increasing trend by day 3.5 pc ( Figure 4E ).
OND patients without anti-HHV-6A/B IgG in CSF or absence of intrathecal antibody synthesis showed a trend to have a higher prevalence of hhv6b-miR-Ro6-2 and −3-5p than positive patients.
This revealed a highly significant correlation between TCRs identified within the 3 different pinches obtained ( r = 0.66–0.73) ( Figure 5A ).
The mean fluorescent intensity (MFI) of CCR5 and CXCR2 on the surface of CVM decreased over the course of immunization with a highly significant decrease in expression by the post-2 nd boost time point ( Figures 2F, H ).
a slight trendgold
Flow cytometric analysis of blood immune cells demonstrated a significant decrease in CSF1R + monocytes after CSF1R antibody treatment, which, although a slight trend toward a reduction in cell number can be observed, was not significant after IL-34 antibody administration ( Figure 2E , for gating strategy see Supplementary Figure 1 ).
Using a rodent model of schizophrenic-like behavior known as subchronic phenylcycline (subPCP) treatment, Jørgensen and colleagues investigated the possible effect of subPCP on the gut microbiota and found slightly significant alterations in the core microbiome of subPCP and vehicle-treated rats.
In this context, it may be significant that the SHP2 (and SHP1) must be bound to their receptors to derepress phosphatase activity, while SHIP1 does not.
a negative trendgold
report, despite a negative trend in demographic parameters, an improving outcome of kidneys from ≥70-year-old donors in Europe over the years, most probably due to an improving physiology of elderly donors.
In a small phase I/IIa RDBPCT, a sublingual combination of allergen and MPL showed a trend for a reduction in the proportion of positive nasal challenge tests and reduced IgE and enhanced IgG compared to grass pollen sublingual immunotherapy alone ( 94 ).
Only FR-8, containing a ratio of 60:40 PG: lysyl-PG, showed a trend for CD1d-restriction, whereas FR-9 induced IFN-γ production completely independent of CD1d.
Interestingly, cells treated with the combination of IL-33 with anti-IL-33 antibody showed a trend towards decreased IL-6 mRNA expression as compared to IL-33 treatment alone, although this difference was not statistically significant in either BM or PB ( Figures 2C, D ).
