A comparison of corticosteroid treatment patterns revealed highly significant differences between the 26-patient group with favorable responses vs. the non-responders.

A greater (albeit only at a statistical trend level) portion of the evaluable 24 patients within the 26-patient group with favorable responses had failed after first-line therapy radiation alone or in combination with the temozolomide in first-line vs. other radiation plus other chemotherapy agents (paclitaxel, nitrosoureas, carboplatin, topoisomerase inhibitors, and anthracyclines) than 54 evaluable patients within the 63-patient non-responder population (13/24 [54%] vs. 19/54 [35%], G = 6.99. p = 0.07).

p -values below 0.05 were considered statistically significant and below 0.01 as highly significant.

Viral integration was associated with increases in somatic DNA copy number and a nonsignificant trend toward a higher mutational burden, suggesting that tumors with HPV integration might be associated with more immunogenic tumors [ 23 ].

Socio-economic status-associated differences in hormone profiles and cytokines involved in immune evasion and tumor tolerance in men of different descent might be significant contributors to racial disparity in PCa ( Figure 2 ).

Expression of MGMT was higher in CH2879 cells as compared to JJ012 and SW1353 cells and Spearman correlation analysis showed a trend towards an association between expression and temozolomide GR 50 values in these cell lines, although sample size was small ( Figure 4 D,F).

With regards to tumour tissue processing methods, the use of fresh frozen (FF) samples for tumour tissue instead of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) marginally increased from 57.1% to 66.7%, suggesting fragmentation of DNA in FFPE processing may be significant, especially when the detection assay relies on amplicon-based amplification [ 72 , 100 , 148 ]. 3.4.

Despite both studies not meeting their primary endpoints, there was a clear trend toward improved OS in favor of ICB.

CTRL; three of them showed an increasing pattern (CD97, COCH and P3IP1), whilst six presented a decreasing trend (APOB, FINC, CERU, HPT, CFAH and PLTP).

ESR1 expression, which is known to be negatively regulated by E2 itself [ 37 ], showed a trend toward reduced expression but the difference was not significant.

Outcomes for the 192 patients with proven p16-positive disease according to RPLN status are shown in Figure 2 , with a nonsignificant trend for inferior outcomes for p16-positive patients with involved RPLN compared to those without.

By week ten, mice with ARK1-luc-dox-shUCHL1 tumors had significantly lower fold change increase in bioluminescence from week 2 ( Figure 2 E,F), and showed a trend towards improved overall survival ( Figure S2H ).

We observed a clear trend of increased activation of mitochondrial-related pathways in multiple different pathway databases, which include both the C5 GO terms ( Figure 5 C) and C2 curated gene sets ( Figure 6 C).

Regarding the clinically important, highly significant differentiation between GS 7a (3 + 4) and 7b (4 + 3), patients with GS 7b exhibited more frequent pathologic 68 Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT scans and metastases [ 8 , 40 ].

In CC cells, this effect was highly significant at all investigated time points; however, non-cancerous cells showed less strong caspase activation.

This is highlighted by the statistically highly significant differences in the application of special regulatory designations and pathways that we found.

Despite no significant results observed for BCVY patients, survival studies indicated an important trend of worst survival for BCVY, contrary to the results observed for BCO.

Differences in the cytokine profile showed that IL-2 and IL-10 present a near-significant association with the cancer relapse ( Table S3 ).

The reduced expression of 10 genes frequently observed in cancer each induce CIN and therefore may be significant, yet currently unappreciated drivers of neoplastic transformation and cancer progression.

Overall, patients significantly lost body mass index (BMI), skeletal muscle density (SMD), and total adipose tissue index (TATI) after CCRT; the skeletal muscle index (SMI) loss was marginally significant.

These parameters remained borderline significant in multivariable analyses adjusting for age, gender, white blood cell count, cytogenetic risk, type of AML and TP53 VAF, indicating a potential prognostic value of this score ( Table 3 ).

Moreover, a favorable trend for EFS was revealed, although statistical significance was not already reached [ 99 ].

Salted Fish From the categorical meta-analysis, we found a marginally significant increase in the risk of gastric cancer incidence, comparing the highest to the lowest intake of salted fish ( Figure 4 b; N = 6 studies; RR, 1.17 [95% CI, 0.99–1.38]; P for heterogeneity = 0.26).

We identified 31 lncRNAs showing highly significant differential expression between normal bone marrow PCs and MM patients ( Figure 1 a and Table S2 ).
