Although the disparity in mortality may be reflected by disparities in access to care, genetics and the differential mutational burden of PCa-related genes may be significant contributing factors [ 29 ].
Excerpts
There may be significant differences among cultures, the expression of demands, and transition procedures in healthcare systems between countries [ 54 ]; understanding what these are and explaining them is challenging in this study.
Overall, conclusions of the study do not associate tea consumption to colorectal cancer risk reduction for both genders combined, though a marginally significant inverse association may exist in women.
Radiotherapy showed a trend towards reduced risk but did not reach statistical significance (OR = 0.49, 95% CI: 0.21–1.13, p = 0.094).
Additionally, OC patients showed a trend for lower serum levels of the free PD-1 receptor compared to controls ( Figure 6 B).
mCRPC patients showed a trend toward a higher number of ctDNA-positive samples when compared to mCSPC, but significance was not reached ( Table 3 , Fisher’s Exact Test, p = 0.08).
In the whole cohort, cytoplasmic expression of TRα1 showed a trend of favorable survival (see Supplementary Figures ), albeit without reaching significance.
Intra-tumoral immune cells from NSC243928 treated E0771 isografts but not from 4T1 isografts showed a trend of a higher stimulation of CD107(LAMP1) CD4 + cells, but it did not reach significance ( Figure 6 E,F).
Both miR-33a and miR-33b were unaltered between H1975P and H1975P, while miR-328-3p and miR-486-5p showed a decreasing trend in expression in the H1975GR cells.
The data indicated a significant trend toward the use of generative algorithms, which were employed by several studies [ 19 , 33 , 57 ] for data augmentation.
The reported incidence of BM shows an increasing trend, which can be the consequence of improved therapeutic options, leading to increased survival among patients diagnosed with primary tumors, as well as the wider adoption of advanced imaging diagnostic technologies, which have enabled the early identification of BM [ 4 ].
From 1990 to 2019, there was an increasing trend in incidence and mortality rates, which varied by 10–436% among cancer groups.
The ADAURA study included patients with common EGFR mutations who could receive adjuvant chemotherapy before osimertinib therapy, showing that osimertinib, compared to placebo, brought a highly significant reduction in the risk of disease recurrence in all studied subgroups [ 15 ].
The differential expression of various clock genes between MB subgroups was highly significant by analysis of variance (anova).
In both cohorts, FLT3 wt patients showed a trend towards higher EASIX score values.
Following stratification according to IPSS-R, a continuous decline in the AMC with rising IPSS-R categories was noted from a median of 0.30 × 10 9 /L in very low-risk patients to a median of 0.12 × 10 9 /L in very high-risk patients, with the differences between the single IPSS-R groups being highly significant (see Figure 1 and Table 2 ). 3.4.

In our study, the number of patients with CRC exhibited a notable trend, with the lowest count recorded in 2003 (828 patients) and peaking in 2013 (2439 patients, 7.0%).
In addition, a pooled analysis of the MONALEESA-2, -3, and -7 trials showed a trend towards the improved efficacy of subsequent therapies after first-line ribociclib plus endocrine therapy, suggesting a post-treatment effect of ribociclib [ 67 ].

In the literature, a notable trend suggests that patients with LCC are more often admitted in emergency mode compared to those with RCC.
Resistance to therapy may result from various factors, and mutations in genes encoding SSRT may be significant, leading to structural changes in receptors.
From 2001 to 2021, a decreasing trend was also found in most racial/ethnic groups by age (20–49 years old, Figure 2 ; 50–64 years old, Figure 3 ; and 65+ years old, Figure 4 ), stage at diagnosis groups by age ( Figures S6–S8 ), residence type by age ( Figures S9–S11 ) and region of residence by age ( Figures S12–S14 ).
Among adults 20–49 years old, there was an increasing trend from 2001 to 2021 in the incidence among non-Hispanic American Indians/Alaska Natives and those in the West, and most recently from 2013 to 2021 in Hispanics.
Overall, no significant difference was observed for Stage II patients; however, when limited to high-risk Stage II patients, a favorable trend was observed in the FOLFOX group (5-year DFS: FOLFOX group—82.3%; LV5FU2 group—74.6%; HR = 0.72).

In the quantitative studies, a notable trend emerged, with nine studies combining two EORTC instruments: the generic EORTC QLQ-C30 and the tumor-specific EORTC QLQ-GI.NET21, which focuses on muscle and/or bone pain, endocrine and gastrointestinal symptoms, and treatment-related effects ( Supplementary Table S2.4 ).
Genes regulated by prednisolone showed a trend toward enhanced regulation by idelalisib (4%) but this did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.24) ( Figure 3 C and Figure S4D ).
