Two additional SRF targets ( Ctgf and Egr1 ) showed a trend towards decreased expression in the MCKCUG-BP1 heart, but did not reach statistical significance.

When compared with men with high SES, those with low SES were more likely to receive ICU treatment for at least 5 days and showed a trend for a lower number of visits from family.

In fact, both control and docetaxel treatment groups showed a trend of decreasing body weight after 14 days of cancer cells inoculation, potentially due to high tumor burden and toxicity of docetaxel, respectively ( Figure 4B ).

Effect of Cd exposure on glucose stimulated insulin secretion in MIN6 cells In static incubation experiments, exposure of MIN6 cells to CdCl 2 concentrations of 0.1, 0.5 and 1.0 μmol/L for 48 h only showed a trend toward a concentration dependent decrease in glucose stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) with GSIS ratios of 5.6 ± 0.8, 2.8 ± 1.0 and 1.4 ± 0.1, respectively, compared with 5.6 ± 0.6 in the control (p < 0.05 for 1.0 μmol/L CdCl 2 compared with control, Fig. 3A ).

Furthermore, CD24 expression positively and significantly correlated with Src gene expression in the resected tumor tissues (p = 0.001), and Src expression showed a trend towards negative association with miR-34a expression.

In drug-naïve patients with MDD, EMP1 levels were significantly lower when compared with controls and, after 8 weeks of antidepressant treatment, EMP1 mRNA levels showed a trend towards an increase [ 60 ].

qPCR For further analysis, we selected five miRNAs which have been earlier mentioned in literature as being involved in cardiovascular pathology and which also showed a trend for differential expression in the microarray (miR-142-3p, miR-144*, miR-21, let-7c and miR-92a).
