Interestingly, when the first 20 patients operated on in the MINI-OPEN group were compared with the remaining 19 patients, the more "recent" patients showed a trend toward improved surgical metrics, including lower blood loss (−147 mL), shorter surgical time (−68 min), fewer instrumented vertebrae, fewer screws, and shorter fused segments.

Non-metric multidimensional scaling (NMDS) analysis revealed that the intestinal microbiota in HS group mice exhibited distinct clustering from that in the CON group, whereas the microbial community structure in the LP082 group showed a trend toward recovery, resembling that of the CON group ( Fig. 3B ).

Vimentin protein and mRNA levels showed a trend similar to that of iNOS across the ovarian cancer cell line panel ( Figures 2 D, 2E, and S2 A).

3 , 8 , 9 , 10 Several cohort and case-control studies have suggested that CMV infection during the first few months of life was associated with an increased risk of TB disease during follow-up and showed a trend toward a higher prevalence of Mtb infection following CMV infection. 11 , 12 , 13 CMV-specific IgG levels in the blood have also been reported to be correlated with an increased risk of TB disease in adults. 14 , 15 A comprehensive review has highlighted the complexity of the epidemiological and immunological relationship between CMV and TB; however, the mechanisms that account for the increased susceptibility to TB in CMV-infected individuals are less well understood. 16 CMV has strict species specificity.

Although the PCL/PLGA and PCL/PLGA/BER 0.02 groups showed a trend for improved closure, the difference were not statistically significant.

Histological assessment of bone remodeling in GF and Oligo‐MM 12 colonized mice in response to HFD challenge showed a trend toward more numerous and intensely TRAP‐positive osteoclasts along the trabecular bone surfaces of GF mice, whereas Oligo‐MM 12 ‐colonized mice displayed fewer TRAP‐positive cells.

We also detected kappa opioid receptors in renal medullary interstitial cells, and stimulation of these receptors in isolated renal interstitial cells showed a trend to attenuate cytokine expression.

At lower MOIs, IFNβ expression increased, consistent with reduced antagonism, and IFNβ transcripts showed a trend of increasing in HeV-g2-infected cells compared with HeV-g1-infected cells, with a statistically significant difference observed at an MOI of 2 ( Fig. 6 ).

However, based on the actual experimental measurements, although the data itself showed a trend consistent with theoretical expectations, statistical analysis revealed that HRV indices (rMSSD and LF) did not show statistically significant changes.

Consistent with prior findings 12 , activation of the pathway by RNAi knockdown of the phosphatase vhp-1 or overexpression of sek-1 and atf-7 showed a trend toward increased catp-3 mRNA expression, suggesting that p38–ATF-7 signaling may contribute to catp-3 transcriptional regulation (Fig. 5a ).

While total ubiquitylated protein levels showed a trend toward decreased accumulation, K48-linked polyubiquitylated protein levels were significantly reduced in NACET-treated brains (Fig. 5D , Fig.
