In this situation, correction for the number of genes analyzed may be a more logical approach: with this type of correction, TF rs2718796, CP rs3816893, and B2M rs16966334, as well as ACO1 rs2026739 in whites, remain statistically significant or nominally significant.

We identified thirteen microbial taxa and eleven metabolic pathways with nominally significant causal associations with AM.
For hospitalization length, the associations of WBC/CRP/Hb//NPR/CLR remained significant after FDR correction, whereas some nominally significant association of PLT was attenuated after correction.
We also show significant associations between known susceptibility genes, BRCA1 , BRCA2 , and PALB2 and overall BC risk, as well as nominally significant associations with CHEK2 , RAD51C , and TP53 .
This conclusion is supported by an excess of directionally consistent and nominally significant signals between discovery and follow-up studies.

For EUR, of the 28 loci available for lookup in FinnGen, 25 had concordant direction of effect, 20 were nominally significant (<0.05), 14 survived Bonferroni correction (for 28 tests; 0.05/28 = 0.0018), and 4 were independently GWS.
The association with the slope of AVLT‐N5 was nominally significant but did not survive FDR correction.
If a P-value was between 0.008 and 0.05, we regarded it as nominally significant for a potential causal association.
Furthermore, semaglutide has shown a significant reduction in non-fatal stroke, while albiglutide has shown a nominally significant reduction in MI.
Of the eight pQTLs (FDR of 0.20) that were associated with proteins quantified in our replication cohort, seven had consistent effect directions, and for two, the replications were also nominally significant (rs145614393 and ZMYND11; rs60664312 and DIDO1).
However, these metabolites only stood out as nominally significant, and no individual metabolites were found to have associations with BC risk after correlation for several effective tests [ 39 ].
These correlations were all nominally significant, but did not survive FDR.
Significant results were those with the P FDR < 0.1; meanwhile P < 0.05 but P FDR > 0.1 was considered as nominally significant. 3 Results 3.1 Causal association of four dominant phyla and their subcategories with T1D At the phylum level, 15 index SNPs were selected to genetically predict Actinobacteria, 10 index SNPs were selected to genetically predict Bacteroidetes, 14 index SNPs were selected to genetically predict Firmicutes, and 12 index SNPs were selected to genetically predict Proteobacteria.
While they found nominally significant risk effects in their own case-control sample from Italy, combining these data with those from other groups yields a more ambiguous answer.
However, there were 628 probes that reached nominally significant P-values (available upon request).
This study acknowledges seven pathways, including :RhoA signaling, glycosaminoglycan biosynthesis, fibroblast growth factor receptor activity, and pathways containing potassium channel genes, reported as nominally significant by multiple analysis methods using two GWAS databases.
Our analysis showed an enrichment of EUR GWAS lead SNPs in nominally significant signals in CSA, but not in other non-EUR groups, likely due to the larger sample size of CSA ( n = 4,663).
However, a majority (n = 8) of the male loci, was at least nominally significant in females, although the estimated effect sizes were lower.
Seven miRNAs appeared to have a significant nominal p -value in three databases, while there was no overlap of nominally significant miRNAs between miRecords with other databases ( Figure S3 ).
Using Holm-Bonferroni, which is still conservative due to correlated tests, to correct for multiple inference does not change the status of any of the nominally significant tests.
2.3 Differential expression analysis of HDL-associated glycopeptides Across the 21 HDL-associated peptide and glycopeptide features that passed normalization and QC filtering, six showed nominally significant differences between APOE3/E3 and APOE3/E4 carriers, regardless of diagnosis status ( Fig. 3 ).
Consequently, some strata contained very few patients, limiting the ability to determine clinically meaningful differences in PRU or HPR, and increasing the likelihood that nominally significant findings, especially those with marginal p -values, reflect chance.
S9 ); while the genes closest to these SNPs showed no systematic enrichment into any Gene Ontology class, nominally significant SNPs were unexpectedly common in the MHC region and in genome areas associated to skin pigment and blood lipid traits ( Table S5 ).
Although none of these results would survive correction for multiple testing, we reported the results that were nominally significant.
