Our analysis of VEGF revealed only one nominally significant SNP in the promoter region (rs833058; Supplemental Table S1 ) which is correlated with rs699947 (r 2 = 0.65).

Nominally significant results can be derived from confidence intervals.
Initially, 344 proteins showed nominally significant associations with PTC risk.
42 Compared to placebo, one phase 2b RCT 43 reported that roluperidone, which primarily targets 5HT 2A and sigma 2 receptors, significantly reduced experiential domain symptoms, whereas another roluperidone RCT found a nominally significant reduction in the experiential domain. 44 Adjunctive Medication Several drugs have been tested as adjunctive medication to AP. 30 Two RCTs, one severely underpowered, 45 compared the monoamine oxidase B inhibitor rasagiline 46 and the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor citalopram 45 to placebo and found a significant reduction in apathy and the experiential domain, respectively.
Notably, multiplicative interaction effects for glycaemic outcomes that were nominally significant in models using BMI category became non‐significant after substituting continuous waist circumference, underscoring the importance of adiposity measurement choice in comorbidity research [ 37 , 38 ].
Moreover, the intervention appeared to be safe and resulted in a small but nominally significant reduction in LVM, as estimated by ECG.
We did not observe any significant signal after multiple testing corrections, though some associations were nominally significant (Additional file 1 : Supplementary text, Additional file 1 : Figure S1f).
In addition, higher levels of other branched-chain and aromatic amino acids such as valine and phenylalanine that have also been associated with type 2 diabetes showed a nominally significant association with prenatal famine exposure, further supporting the link between prenatal famine and type 2 diabetes risk [ 2 ].
Moreover, none of the top 10 nominally significant genes replicated across both the ParkWest and PPMI cohorts (Table 1 ).
Thus, we extended our analysis to nominally significant genes but very little overlap was again highlighted at the 3 time points investigated, confirming that most of the genes regulated by Tob1 are cell-specific ( Fig. 5a ).
Furthermore, in the sex-specific protein associations, out of the 39 nominally significant proteins identified, 33 (84.6%) were distinct and did not show significant associations within any of the T2D genetic clusters, including the three proteins mediating the effect of this cluster with MI (Fig. 3C Supplementary Data 7 ).
Expanding our analysis to include schizophrenia-associated variants (SCZ) and neurodevelopmental disorder (NDD) genes ([ 33 , 34 ] Methods), we observed nominally significant enrichment of schizophrenia-associated variants among enhancer regions of EPIs in the inhibitory neuron cell-type AD and promoter regions of ESC cell-type EPIs ( Figure 6 A,B; Figure 7 E,F; Supplemental Figure S9 ).
In EVOLVE, although nominally significant, there was a 5.1 point improvement in the CFQ-R respiratory domain score, and in EXPAND, the CFQ-R respiratory domain score increased by 11.1 points when compared with placebo.
Result Nominally significant associations were observed between CpG sites within several of the EWAS that were performed; however, no individual CpG sites remained significant after FDR correction.
Similarly, the association of individual risk loci with MTR and volumetric measures did not reveal more nominally significant associations than expected by chance [non-HLA: 4.51% (60/1330); HLA 2.7% (6/220)] (Supplementary Table S4 – S5 ).
Univariately, only two FCs between the left amygdala and left Heschl’s area and between the right pallidum and left MTG remained nominally significant ( Supplementary Table 13 ) down from seven FCs with the FC-based partition ( Supplementary Table 6 ).
All associations were relatively small and, in many cases, nominally significant despite the very large sample size. status released display-pdf yes is-olf no is-manuscript no is-preprint no is-journal-matter no is-scanned no is-retracted no Received 2014 Nov 26; Revised 2015 Jun 28; Accepted 2015 Jul 22; Issue date 2016 Jun.
This trend persisted after sensitivity analysis using complete cases, although it only remained nominally significant for visual attention.
Furthermore, a joint analysis of our genotype data and the US data allowed two of the previously nominally significant loci, namely, IL13/IL4 and KIAA0350/CLEC16A , to exceed the genome-wide significance threshold [30].
When considering all variation (including synonymous) within each gene individually ( Supplementary Table 3 ), no significant associations were seen in the NeuroX but nominally significant differences were identified for AKT3 (P skat = 0.049) and BAP1 (P skat = 0.004) in the exome cohort.
To assess the presence of causal relationships underlying the global genetic overlap observed, we applied the latent causal variable (LCV) approach [ 17 ] to pairwise combinations of brain IDP and alcohol/tobacco-related behaviors reaching nominally significant genetic correlation.
The RA→MIP1b association remained nominally significant after excluding 2 SNPs nominally associated with MIP1b ( p IVW = 0.004).
Importantly, the SNCA SNP rs2736990 is the same SNCA SNP that showed the second highest nominally significant association with PD susceptibility in the large-scale candidate association study of Chung et al.
P values < 0.05 were considered nominally significant and not adjusted for multiplicity.
For our first method, we grouped all genes into co-expression modules and studied the enrichment of genes with nominally significant gene-based associations with migraine in the different modules.
