While we find a nominally significant association between UPD of chromosome 22 and autism risk, we do not find significant associations between UPD and deleterious traits in the 23andMe database.

Gene prioritization after colocalization We selected all genes from the colocalization study for which the posterior probability was >0.5 and that had a nominally significant p -value \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$\le$$\end{document} ≤ 0.05.
One limitation of GSEA is that overrepresentation of genes with nominally significant associations from within a specific pathway may not be driven by true association.
Nominally significant associations of BCHE rs1803274 with the MMSE cognitive test scores were observed in the entire group of patients with cognitive impairment.
Only a single gene set (GO0015464: acetylcholine receptor activity) was found nominally significant in both data sets by two of the four GSA methods.
Hospitalization rs7412 ( APOE ) and rs3131294 ( NOTCH4 ) showed nominally significant associations with hospitalization ( Table 3 , Fig. 2 ).
Additionally, A-allele carriers of rs7530 show a nominally significant reduction in HMGB1 mRNA expression in SAT ( online supplementary figure 3 ). 10.1136/bmjdrc-2019-000831.supp4 Supplementary data Associations of H2AX and HMGB1 expression/methylation with clinically relevant parameters of obesity To understand the potential role of differentially regulated DNA repair genes in obesity, we conducted correlation analyses between gene expression and DNA methylation with clinically relevant obesity traits.
In Part A, weight ( p < 0.0013), CBPI pain score ( p < 0.0301), and total CSOM score ( p < 0.0302) were nominally significant.
6 A sensitivity analysis of sustained 40% and 50% eGFR declines in REWIND did show a nominally significant improvement with dulaglutide in the median 5.4 year follow‐up in REWIND. 6 In this analysis, we showed for the first time that treatment with exenatide nominally significantly lowered the risk of a composite endpoint—30% eGFR decline or ESRD—that did not include the surrogate albuminuria.
Among the four major LPA molecules with the highest concentrations (>0.1 μM), only 20:4-LPA alone did not show a nominally significant association.
All other candidate genes remained at least nominally significant after dropping the most significant variant (see Supplementary Table 11) ( 14 ).
GSTO1 (glutathione S-transferase omega) related SNP in arsenic (As) metabolism exhibited nominally significant interactions with well-water “As” for connections with cardiovascular disease (CVD), coronary heart disease (CHD), or stroke [ 92 ]; in addition, GSTT1 polymorphisms serve as a potential genetic factor for arsenic-induced skin cancer [ 93 ].
We found only 5 nominally significant SNPs in common between the Scandinavian material and the WTCCC material (see Table S1 ), indicating heterogeneity between the two samples.
As a strictly exploratory secondary observation, zinc showed nominally significant inverse correlations with inflammatory indices within the subgroup with obesity; however, these findings derive from a small sample with a non-significant overall model and require prospective replication before any interpretation beyond hypothesis generation.
For nominally significant associations with both a symptom and a cognitive variable, matching the expected pattern based on previous genetic correlations, we performed mediation analysis to distinguish pleiotropic from mediating effects.
Seven CHD candidate genes, including EGFR, EVC2, NFATC2, NR2F2, TBX5, CFC1B and GJA5 , were chosen for further validation in a larger number of TOF cases because of their nominally significant differences in methylation levels and the important roles they play in the development of the heart.
S2 : Adjusting for MRI-identified strokes did not affect the results for mid- to late adulthood exposure; association for accumulated neighbourhood deprivation remained nominally significant (Supplementary Table 10 ).
In the T‐maze test, Ido1 KO mice exhibited weak but nominally significant impairment in the working memory task of the T‐maze, but this result failed to reach study‐wide significance.
We counted how many times nominally significant enrichment of a given GO term was observed, and the probability to see significant enrichment among 10 000 trials was considered as the P -value.
In our analyses, NOTCH4 and CEP290 , whose roles in heart development and the ciliome have been previously described 36 , 37 , were found to have nominally significant associations with DS + AVSD in both WES and WGS datasets.
12 In a recent replication study, rs11098403 demonstrated a nominally significant association with schizophrenia in a Han Chinese population. 13 However, the small sample size limited the ability to draw any definitive conclusion due to the low statistical power of detection coinciding with increased rates of both false positives and false negatives. 14 In this study, we first aimed to replicate the association of rs1109803 with schizophrenia and BD in Han Chinese samples from the Shanghai region.
Of the 16 reliably detected miRNAs, 3 (miR-15b, -132, and -652) showed a nominally significant increase in expression in the high-risk subjects compared to the control subjects (miR-15b, FC = 1.29; miR-132, FC = 1.34; miR-652, FC = 1.26).
Fatigue improvement at week 16 was also a nominally significant predictor of future clinical response (Table 2 ).
Moreover, all nominally significant P values reported below survived BH-FDR adjustment ( q < .05; Table S2 ).
No correlation reached the significance threshold of p < 0.05 after adjusting for depressive symptom severity, age, sex, and years of education, although some nominally significant correlations were observed in a few brain regions before adjustment.
