However, the likelihood of a hip fracture risk reduction is enhanced by a significant ( P = 0.02) trend of reducing HR with duration of supplementation in the no personal supplements group and by nominally significant risk reductions over the entire follow-up period among adherent women, both in the overall trial cohort and in the no personal supplements subset (Table 6 ).

To determine whether the identified sex-specific causal proteins show sex-specific genetic risk, we asked whether the genetic interaction with sex in the corresponding GWAS was nominally significant for the considered trait for the sites that were most significantly associated with the trait at the locus.
A Bonferroni-corrected p -value was set as 0.01 (0.05/five outcomes), and meanwhile p < 0.05 was regarded as nominally significant. 2.4 Sensitivity analysis Sensitivity analysis was pivotal in MR studies to detect underlying pleiotropy and heterogeneity for MR estimates.
Although there was no statistically significant difference between the intervention and sham control groups in change in global disability from baseline to 90 days after stroke, freedom from disability and ordinal level of disability outcomes at day 90 were nominally significant after adjustment for left-hemisphere stroke laterality, less baseline arm and hand weakness on the SAFE scale, and less total neurologic deficit on the NIHSS.
P < 0.05 was considered nominally significant and suggestive.
With regard to rs8050136, eight studies have investigated its effect on colorectal [ 25 ], endometrial [ 11 , 26 ], pancreatic [ 27 , 28 ], prostate [ 29 ], thyroid [ 30 ], and melanoma skin cancers [ 31 ], among which two studies showed a nominally significant association with cancers of the pancreas [ 28 ] and thyroid [ 30 ] in the main analysis.
A p value of 0.05 or less was deemed nominally significant and 0.01 or less definitely significant, given the 5 primary outcome variables.
However, they found significant interactions between ADRB2 rs2400707 and childhood adversity on PTSD, as well as nominally significant interactions with six other SNPs in the ADRB2 locus, all in high linkage disequilibrium with rs2400707 , including rs1042713 39 .
While the authors found a nominally significant association between handedness and the surface area of the left precentral sulcus, not a single effect survived statistical correction for multiple testing.
p < 0.05 was considered nominally significant [ 25 ].
However, there was a significant effect of genotype on all anxiety diagnoses remission ( Table 3 ; OR = 0.45, P = 0.014), which remained nominally significant when multiple testing corrections were made.
Early SES was a nominally significant, independent predictor of antisocial ASB, such that lower SES predicted higher levels of ASB in nonadoptive families only.
The summed R 2 for the correlation coefficients reported in the figures is only 3% and if we remove nominally significant results (as these would likely be discarded if multiple test corrections were actually applied) the R 2 reduces to <1%.
While we did find a nominally significant association between past depression severity and functional connectivity between the DMN and FPN, this association did not survive FDR correction, thus showing no significant associations with functional connectivity metrics (see Table 3 ). 2.2.
The nominally significant association between PMDD and positive mood effect for this sample did not survive Bonferroni correction (Table S2 ).
As a comparison, the latent factor was also filtered for SNPs nominally significant for male depression, using the UKB sample.
All SNPs showed nominally significant p-values, and the odds ratios ranged from 1.11 ( SHROOM3 ) to 1.27 ( MUC1 ) per copy of the magnesium-lowering allele ( Table 3 ).
All tests were two-tailed and P- values <0.05 were considered nominally significant.
P -values ˂0.05 were considered nominally significant.
Given the exploratory nature of this analysis, cell types with raw p < 0.05 were considered as nominally significant. 2.7.2.
For LECT2 , our association was robustly supported by negative effects in European samples of UKB and AOU, although G&H showed a nominally significant association in the opposite direction ( Figure 4 ).
For the executive function domain, while no signal was observed from the main analysis sample, higher CD14 exhibited a nominally significant positive association in the subsample closer in age to exam 7, indicating higher odds of being clustered into the early decline group as compared to the late decline group (estimated odds ratio as 1.57).
One position (position 34) was nominally significant at P values less than .05; however, neither would have met the threshold P value for statistical significance after conservatively accounting for multiple testing ( P < .001).
p ≤ 0.05 was considered nominally significant.
Of these, two showed a nominally significant positive association between the number of de novo mutations and the presence of the highly derived haplotype in the parent in both statistical tests ( Table 2 ).
