Two vortioxetine doses were investigated because both 10 mg and 20 mg demonstrated nominally significant improvements in MADRS total score and response rate, and acceptable tolerability, in the secondary analysis of a randomized, placebo-controlled, multinational, 8-week, phase 2/3 trial of vortioxetine that included Japanese participants with MDD. 24 After the treatment period, study drugs were subsequently withdrawn, at which point patients entered a 4-week safety follow-up period for the analysis of outcomes of adverse events.

We used a gene scoring algorithm that boosted nominally significant modifier phenotype associations with specialized annotation of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and heart failure molecular phenotypes.
We found nominally significant negative correlations of D f with C-reactive protein ( r g = −0.13 ± 0.05), atherosclerosis ( r g = −0.24 ± 0.03), coronary artery disease ( r g = −0.12 ± 0.06), stroke ( r g = −0.23 ± 0.09), and a positive correlation with longevity ( r g = 0.12 ± 0.06) (table S7).
All 5 CpG positions included in “HCC-detect” and “HCC-spec” are significantly more methylated than in either healthy controls, chronic hepatitis B or both or non-HCC cancers ( CCNJ is nominally significant when compared to healthy controls and significant against chronic hepatitis B).
We find several nominally significant associations between rare ABCG5/8 coding variants and other CVD.
This revealed significant functional annotation of our set of proteins in both KEGG and Reactome databases only between T1 and T2, after BH adjustment of p -values ( Table 4 ) (see Supplementary Data 2 a full list of nominally significant sets from KEGG and Reactome).
p < 0.05 is considered nominally significant. 3 Results 3.1 Genetic IVs enrolled in this study The design protocol for this study is shown in Figure 1 .
Our multivariate linkage analysis identified more nominally significant regions, and these results covered the chromosomal regions where the AGT , TNFR2 , AGTR , and GNB3 genes reside.
73 It should be noted that, in the BEST trial, a nominally significant interaction effect of therapy was found only for race (African American vs.
Genes that had increasing expression among pathologic types satisfied the following two criteria: Nominally significant difference from normal: (B1) P A A H < 0.05 and P A I S < 0.05 and P M I A _ n o n I n v < 0.05 and P M I A _ I n v < 0.05 Increased expression from normal to AAH, to AIS, and to MIA (MIA_ nonInv and/or MIA_Inv): (B2) ( β M I A _ I n v and / or β M I A _ n o n I n v ) > β A I S > β A A H > 0 in which P is the P value and β is the β-coefficient in the linear model for a gene.
A nominally significant genotype–treatment interaction effect on diabetes incidence had been reported for the CDKN2A / B rs10811661 variant; however, treatment-stratified genotype–diabetes associations were not significant in any of the placebo, lifestyle, or metformin groups [36] .
After accounting for multiple comparisons across the reported bivariate tests, the total attitude/stance score remained the most robust association, whereas other nominally significant findings were interpreted as exploratory.
[ 33 ] Associations with P ≤ 0.050 were considered nominally significant.
Nominally significant effects were carried forward to a multiple mediation model to estimate direct and indirect effects on four measured AUBs (frequency, quantity, alcohol use disorder symptoms [AUDsx], and maximum drinks in 24 h).
Few nominally significant differences emerged between healthcare professionals from different specialities or regions.
Although there were nominally significant SNPs in the LTA , ESR1 and INSR genes, results were not significant after correction for the number of SNPs tested within the respective genes.
We used the Chi-square test to compare nominally significant variables and the ANOVA test to evaluate continuously significant variables.
Furthermore, a p ‐value of 0.05 was regarded as nominally significant.
Nonetheless, the uneven distribution of the nominally significant results between the Ambiguous (9/25) and Angry (0/25) speaks against a chance nature of these findings, as confirmed by the Monte-Carlo simulations.
Within the NAD pathway, 5mC, 5hmC, and 5uC showed nominally significant differences for 20/1009 probes, 18/632 probes, and 35/1009 probes, respectively (Fig. 2 D-F; Tables S10-S12).
Therefore, the nominally significant results should be interpreted with caution and need to be validated in our planned new phase 2/3 trial.
There was also a nominally significant interaction between sex and the effect of sacubitril/valsartan on emergency department visits, with a greater effect in women, but this was based on small numbers of events and not supported by another exploratory analysis of outpatient worsening leading to intensification of therapy.
C/C subjects had significantly lower performance on motor speed, verbal fluency (all of which were significant after controlling for multiple tests), attention/processing speed, and reasoning/problem solving (nominally significant) compared to T allele carriers.
