Results were considered significant for p -corrected < 0.05 and nominally significant for p < 0.01 and p -corrected > 0.05. 3 Results Sample characteristics are presented in Table 1 .
In models adjusting for cigarettes-per-day, we confirm the association between rs16969968 and lung cancer (p<10 −20 ) and observe a nominally significant association with COPD (p = 0.01); the other loci are not significantly associated with either lung cancer or COPD after adjusting for rs16969968.
Nominally significant association was also found for SNP rs7174755 in ITGA11 (integrin, alpha 11) in the combined ISPC+AMPS sample ( P =0.010 for association with %ΔHRSD; P =0.025 for response).
At the 50% threshold, the difference remained nominally significant ( Figure 3 E, p = 0.0104) but did not meet the Bonferroni-adjusted criterion.
Causal Effects of Redox Regulatory Drug Targets on Psychiatric Disorders According to a significance threshold of p < 5.78 × 10 −6 for the eQTL level and p < 1.49 × 10 −4 for the pQTL level, genetic variations in the vitamin C target (cofactor, OGFOD2 in cerebellum, OR = 0.784, 95% CI = 0.715–0.859, p = 2.14 × 10 −7 ) and the melatonin target (agonist, RORB in cerebellum, 1.263, 95% CI = 1.167–1.368, p = 8.80 × 10 −9 ; additionally, there were many nominally significant results which could confirm the above results: hypothalamus, p = 1.04 × 10 −2 ; putamen basal ganglia, p = 4.40 × 10 −3 ) were significantly related to the risk of SCZ.

Furthermore, all of the four EHOA loci are within tissue-specific regulatory regions for vascular/endothelial cells which we estimate is 2.8-fold higher than expected by chance alone (expected overlap=35%; 95% CI 0% to 75%), but, as we tested for enrichment within 16 different tissue-specific groups, 23 the enrichment was only nominally significant (p=0.011, online supplemental table S9 ).
Among the secondary strata, only the absence of chronic liver disease ( p = 0.001) survived a conservative Bonferroni threshold of 0.006 for the family of secondary tests; the age ≥65 contrast, though nominally significant ( p = 0.011), did not.
A similar picture emerged for the analyses with the number of different NLE ( Figure 2D ): none of the effects reached the adjusted level of significance, all p ≥.221, all , and only the main effect of the sum of different NLE was at least nominally significant, F (1, 443)=6.59, p =.011, ( Figure 2E ). 5.2.2.
For Braak stages, point estimates ranged from r = ‒0.52 (DFC × MKI67) to r = +0.19 (STG × TPT1), with the strongest nominally significant correlation observed in AnG across all microglia ( r = ‒0.38, p = 0.011).
