The 18% nominally significant risk reduction of the primary outcome in the Americas has encouraged societies in the US to believe that, if properly implemented, spironolactone may improve outcomes in patients with HFpEF. 9 In HFpEF patients with resistant hypertension from the Americas enrolled in TOPCAT, a post hoc analysi
Daytime dozing showed a nominally significant negative genetic correlation with PD ( \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{upgreek} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document} ${r}_G=-0.1$\end{document} , p -value = .0485).
However, highly significant numbers of the nominally significant genes from the earlier cohort overlapped with the significant genes from the additional cohort benefitting from increased tumor numbers and power (Supplementary Fig. 5b and Supplementary Data 8 ), a further indication of these expression differences being reproducible and robust.
For instance, differential DNA methylation patterns between OCD patients and healthy control probands have been described for the oxytocin receptor ( OXTR ) gene [ 4 – 7 ], the serotonin transporter ( SLC6A4 ) gene [ 8 ], the monoamine oxidase A ( MAOA ) gene [ 9 ], the brain-derived neurotrophic factor ( BDNF ) gene [ 10 ], and, on a nominally significant level, the gamma-aminobutyric acid B receptor 1 ( GABBR1 ), estrogen receptor 1 ( ESR1 ), myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein ( MOG ) genes and again the brain-derived neurotrophic factor ( BDNF ) gene [ 11 ].
The results were similar in men and women except for a significant interaction ( p =0.003) for soft drinks; the trend was in the same direction, but stronger in women ( Supplementary Table 2 ). Food preferences across the FTO genotypes in strata of BMI When we stratified for BMI, the trends across the FTO genotypes were similar except for the consumption of juice ( p -interaction=0.04), which indicated a nominally significant increased intake for the A-allele carriers among overweight individuals but not among the normal weight individuals ( Table 3 ).
