Notably, none of these metabolites overlapped with those identified in the forward MR analysis. Several metabolites exhibited nominally significant associations in the reverse MR analysis, indicating potential downstream effects of genetically predicted CH on CSF metabolite levels.

Twenty three out of 54 Hi-C genes at these three loci exhibited nominally significant eQTL association with the three GWS loci, including the above autophagy-related genes CDH6 , ATF3 , and HMGB1 ( Supplementary Table 5 ).
Of the different cancers examined, only the associations between diabetes mellitus and the risk of developing various cancers, including breast cancer, were nominally significant.
However, the associations for LDL-C and ApoB, while nominally significant, did not survive strict FDR correction, indicating the need for cautious interpretation and replication in larger cohorts.
In addition, we required the nominally significant genetic covariance signals to fall within two megabases upstream and downstream of the corresponding gene (based on genome build 37 coordinates). 2.11 Phenotypic correlation between NIDPs and family history of dementia We assessed the significance of empirical measurement differences in NIDPs across UKB individuals with and without a family history of dementia.
When the dichotomised extreme CK-MB phenotype was studied in the stage II cohort, only the 2 SNPs located in SEC24D (rs4834703 and rs6822035, p=0.002) and rs609418 in the intergenic region between RFXAP and SMAD9 (p=0.001) remained nominally significant ( table 2 ).
Within the whole blood gene set, analyses detected nominally significant enrichment of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system in KEGG, which works to regulate arterial blood pressure.
Associations of Individual SNPs With VTE As shown in Table 4 , only the Leiden mutation (rs6025) and rs2066865 (FGG) were significantly associated with VTE risk and found to be nominally significant for the Roma population, but not for the general population.
However, the MMRM least squares mean (LSM) ADCS-iADL change from baseline at week 104 showed a nominally significant increase in clinical decline rate of the 5,600 mg arm compared with placebo.
Results Three SNPs - rs2278493 in HK3, rs2234693 in ESR1 and rs12611091 in BRSK1 - showed nominally significant association with POF.
Three other genes from the same locus CARD6 (p IBD , 3.33 × 10 −02 ), RPL37 (p MSA , 8.79 × 10 −03 ), and TTC33 (p CD , 9.46 × 10 −03 ) were nominally significant in IBD, MSA, and CD correspondingly but did not survive multiple-testing correction ( Table S8 ).
Although nominally significant, these results did not pass the threshold of multiple test correction (Bonferroni method, P adjusted = 8.3e-03) and will require further validation with additional case cohorts.
plurivora root infection, and the addition of Si) were shown to be nominally significant predictors of the total plant dry weight (DW; Table S1 ).
1A , statistical analysis indicated that 79 metabolites and 346 proteins were nominally significant and remained statistically significant after post correction for multiple comparisons (Benjamini-Hochberg adjusted p < 0.05) in the saliva samples for the AD group with respect to the control group.
Interestingly, a nominally significant association was observed between rs7643677 and the trait “disease severity” in the COVID-19 Host Genetics Initiative study ( 14 ), with its C allele associated with a higher risk of developing severe symptoms or conditions that typically require hospitalization (effect size = 0.026, p -value=6.48×10 -3 ).
We considered P -values below 5 × 10 −8 to be genome-wide significant and nominally significant below 5 × 10 −6 .
Genetic Variations by Race and Sex When grouping cohort data by sex, can be viewed in Table 2 , there were only three genes for which differences were nominally significant.
Latent Causal Variable Analysis To distinguish between genetic correlation and causative effects, we applied the Latent Causal Variable (LCV) approach to all nominally significant genetic correlations.
44 Another study by Wang et al 45 found weak but consistent evidence of a protective effect of haplogroup E1b1b1c in chromosome Y in all studies with a nominally significant metaanalysis.
However, in a combined analysis of both family-based samples, three CNVRs presented at least nominally significant CNVR-adjusted one-sided P -values (≤0.025; Table 2 ).
Conclusions The detected nominally significant associations between state-anhedonia and genetic variants from GRM5 gene strengthen previous assumptions about the possible relationship between glutamatergic system and anhedonia.
These results were nominally significant (i.e., not adjusting for multiple comparisons) and were primarily driven by Pakistan, although the direction of effect (i.e., lower Z -scores for mothers with hypozincemia) was seen in Guatemala and India, as well.
We used these GWAS in a subsequent tissue-specific network-wide association study (NetWAS), which applied nominally significant associations in the initial GWAS to identify disease relevant patterns in a functional network for the hippocampus.
All tests were two-sided, and P < 0.05 was considered nominally significant.
For ANM we found weak evidence of reverse causation for PNP and TXNDC15, with only one of the four MR methods obtaining estimates with nominally significant p -values (Supplementary Data 16 ).
