To check that our results were not simply driven by the phenotypic association between AAB and alcohol dependence, we examined whether the genome-wide significant gene to emerge from our analysis of AAB remained at least nominally significant after statistically controlling for DSM-IV alcohol dependence case–control status using a gene-based test.
Results Compared to the general population, nominally significant associations were noted for higher genetically predicted vitamin B-6 (Odds ratio per standard deviation [ OR SD ]: 1.06; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.00, 1.13; p -value = 0.036) and lower magnesium concentrations ( OR SD : 0.33; 95%CI: 0.11, 0.96; P = 0.042) with COVID-19 infection risk.
16 Additionally, a meta-analytical combination of eight independent neuroticism (EPQ) genome -wide linkage studies in 14 811 individuals found nominally significant risk loci on chromosomes 9, 11, 12, and 14. 17 Association studies Principally, two main approaches have been applied to elucidate patterns of genetic association in GAD or cross-disorder phenotypes related to anxiety.

A nominally significant positive association was observed within the small “other race” subgroup (OR: 2.16, 95% CI: 1.26–3.71); however, the nonsignificant interaction test ( p = 0.10) suggests that this is a spurious finding, resulting from a limited sample size rather than a true biological interaction.
