Regarding the variants rs16850797, rs11061925, and rs10773983, each of the allele G, allele C, and allele G showed nominally significant associations with higher eGFRcys.

We observed nominally significant directionally consistent effects for advanced AMD (OR adv = 1.05, 95% confidence interval, CI = [1.01,1.09] and 1.03 [1.00,1.07], P adv = 0.02 and 0.05, respectively) that were slightly smaller compared to early AMD effects (OR early = 1.10 [1.06,1.14] and 1.05 [1.02,1.08], P early = 4.7 × 10 − 8 and 6.8 × 10 − 4 ).
Candidate-PS analyses Three individual SNPs (rs36011, rs1417584, and rs6917735) showed nominally significant associations at α threshold of 0.05, but none remained significant after Bonferroni correction.
Two out of 44 SNPs from the ALPL locus and none from the PYROXD2 locus from the PLP and PLP:PL GWAS showed a nominally significant association with GGE, but these did not survive correction for multiple testing (Supplementary Table 3).
As expected, we observed high genetic correlation between GU and DU and nominally significant genetic correlations between PUD and its risk factors ( Supplementary Note ); effect-size comparisons demonstrated that GU shared risk loci with DU, but had smaller effect sizes than DU.
Nominally significant differences were found between the active drug arms and vehicle for corneal staining scores and Schirmer’s test scores.
Both proxies and directly imputed SNPs were at least nominally significant in previous studies ( P -values ranging from 10 –3 to 10 –6 ) with typically high imputation quality.
We replicated a number of variants in EA women, including rs7759938 in LIN28B for AM and rs16991615 in MCM8 for ANM; whereas in the AA group, only one SNP (rs2947411 in TMEM18 ) for AM was directionally consistent and nominally significant.
Notably, among the suggestively heritable taxa in our cohort [ Paraprevotellaceae ], Veillonellaceae , Desulfovibrionaceae , Pasteurellaceae , Odoribacter , Paraprevotella , Veillonella and Bifidobacterium had nominally significant heritability estimates in prior literature [ 7 , 31 – 33 ].
In summary, we identified 882 nominally significant gene-HPO associations ( Table S3 ), and the comparison of observed and expected HPO terms resulted in gene-specific patterns ( Figures 3 , 4 , and S7 ).
P < 0.003 was regarded as statistically significant, and P < 0.05 was considered nominally significant.
These CpGs were genome-wide significant for years of smoking among heavy smokers, but nominally significant in lighter smokers.
The causal estimation direction indicated by the MR-Egger method, the weighted median method, the simple mode method, and the weighted mode method analyses aligned with the above-described results, but not significantly so (or only nominally significant) ( Figure 3 ).
This is particularly striking for positional methods, where prior expectations were high that “omics” might be helpful: most genes enriched for nominally significant loci did not contain a genome‐wide significant hit within the larger sample.
In the ADH cluster locus, we also observed nominally significant positive selection pressure at the well-known functional missense variant of ADH1B , which is associated with lower alcohol consumption, as well (rs1229984-A [Arg48His], P iHS = 7.1 × 10 −4 with iHS z -score = 3.39, r 2 = 0.34 with rs1442493 in Japanese; fig. 2 b ; Koganebuchi et al. 2017 ; Okada 2018 ).
All nominally significant associations were attenuated after further adjusting for white blood cell proportions, suggesting that the effect of statins on GrimAge components may be partly due to changes in blood cell composition.
The manuscript is currently using a nominally significant p-value threshold of 0.05.
Nominally significant associations were observed for Ureaplasma urealyticum (first trimester), Mycoplasma hominis , and Bacteroides fragilis (second trimester), but none survived FDR correction (all q > 0.05).
Figure 4 displayed the Reactome F1 network and showed that out of 104 genes constituting the pathway, 38 genes have nominally significant gene-wise p values in our study (Details of 38 genes are displayed in Supplementary Table 2 ).
When restricting to the uniquely mapped reads, there were 35 nominally significant pairs of strains that were differentially expressed (DE) among 32,525 total tests, and there were seven piRNA clusters with at least one DE pair.
Nominally significant associations were observed for magnesium and copper with the risk of CAD in patients with diabetes.
For example, we demonstrate the visualization of variants in TTN, a gene with pathogenic, nominally significant variants identified in univariate analysis (Fig. 4 ).
While nominally significant for some comparisons (based on an ANOVA with factor load, Fig.
Comparison of genotype frequencies between 600 type 2 diabetes patients and 1350 glucose tolerant SAPHIR participants revealed nominally significant effects of rs7578326, rs2943634, and rs2943641 as well as a borderline effect of rs2713538 (Supplementary Table 13).
Biologic-naive patients showed a nominally significant improvement in clinical remission rates with filgotinib 200 mg, while biologic-experienced patients had higher rates of prior treatment failures.
