In the sex-specific analyses, 4 SNPs in men and 1 in women provided nominally significant interaction P values, and after Bonferroni corrections, 1 SNP in the MRAS locus remained significant in men.

The GWAS identified 18 SNPs associated at genome-wide significance with the top one being an intronic SNP (rs9392549) in PRPF4B (pre-mRNA processing factor 4B) located on chromosome 6 ( P = 2.07 × 10 − 9 ) while gene-set enrichment analysis returned one gene ontology term, axon cargo transport (GO: 0008088) with a nominally significant P value (1.15 × 10 − 5 ).
A nominally significant interaction was observed across eGFR categories (P-interaction = 0.040).
14 The study further demonstrated a nominally significant reduction in the exploratory composite endpoint of all‐cause death, cardiovascular hospitalizations, or emergency presentation for worsening HF with finerenone compared with eplerenone. 14 Patients with symptomatic HFrEF, who have a class IA indication for MRA therapy, were excluded from the FIDELIO‐DKD trial. 11 As a result, patients with a history of HF at baseline studied in this analysis were likely to have asymptomatic HFrEF (LV ejection fraction [LVEF] <40%) or HFrEF with NYHA class I, HFpEF (LVEF ≥50%), or HFmrEF (LVEF 40%–49%).
Of note, those a-DMRs that did possess an overlapping probe(s) were almost exclusively those where methylation increases with age, 34 of the total 38 and 31 of the 32 with at least nominally significant probes.
Within the BCR signaling pathway, however, there are multiple other single-marker hits in other genes indicating nominally significant association with disease susceptibility in both cohorts.
None of these additional SNPs showed nominally significant association to the phenotype ( Table 1b ).
Reactome returned 2 nominally significant terms (STable 25 ), both driven by single-gene hits, and do not support coordinated pathway-level conclusions at this timepoint.
In downstream analyses, the 122 rDNAcn-related CpGs revealed 31 differentially methylated regions and 253 nominally significant correlations with cord blood gene transcripts in an eQTM analysis.
The statistical association between 2 of the PITX2 SNPs and LA volume as measured by CMR were nominally significant, but none of the findings met our threshold for statistical significance.
P < 0.05 was regarded as nominally significant.
A nominally significant association between SSc and three SNPs (rs3117230; rs3128930; rs3128965) has been detected under log-additive model ( Table 2 ).
In this context, although several TRBV genes exhibited nominally significant differences between patient subgroups, only a restricted number remained significant after the Benjamini–Hochberg correction for multiple testing.
After multiple corrections, a pronounced local correlation was identified in a single region on chromosome 6: 11790816-13209388 between SBP and CAC ( P = 6.58 × 10 –6 ) along with 19 nominally significant regions ( Figure 1C ).
Similarly, the previously mentioned NUGENOB project, which investigated the potential effect of 42 candidate SNPs in 648 participants, reported only nominally significant associations for lower weight loss in individuals with the effect alleles who followed the low-fat diet [ 27 ].
At the univariate level, the differences in abundance of Faecalibacterium and Roseburia between HCs and patients were nominally significant but did not remain significant after correcting for multiple testing.
In exploratory analysis, we observed several nominally significant potentially novel single SNP associations for angina pectoris, previous MI, individuals with both AP and previous MI, and stroke in the 138 kb interval (Additional file 1).
Alternatively, it was possible that the nominally significant relationships between total serum 25OHD and either BMD or bone metabolism markers might largely be ascribed to some unidentified confounding factors in the observational analyses.
One exception was the nominally significant trend for early breast cancer diagnosis in NHBs compared with that in NHWs (ratio of risk ratio=1.11 [95% CI=1.01, 1.22]).
The difference in ≥75% RR between the PSL and placebo groups approached statistical significance, and there was a notable, nominally significant reduction in weekly seizure frequency.
This discrepancy may be attributed to: (i) control group specificity: obese children without MAFLD may already exhibit altered metabolite levels seen in simple obesity; (ii) disease severity: early-stage MAFLD may not yet show dysregulation of markers associated with advanced disease; (iii) platform limitations: targeted metabolomics did not cover all lipid peroxidation products; and (iv) statistical stringency: FDR correction may have excluded nominally significant metabolites.
Forest plots for prematurity in NFBC1986 and NFBC1966 for the validating sites from the main meta-analysis with birth weight as the exposure, and for the nominally significant site cg14123232 are presented in Supplementary Fig. 1 .
Each of the peak results from the initial regional analysis (Table 3 ) showed nominally significant joint p ‐values during the interaction analysis; however, the SNP x GRS interaction terms were nonsignificant.
To gain a further understanding of the relationship between these differential peaks, an enrichment analysis was again performed using the ToppFun function of ToppGene; this identified a nominally significant enrichment of differential peaks associated with malignant tumor of colon (q = 8 E-02 ).
None of the differences between the treatment groups in cycle 1 were nominally significant at the 5% level.
