Two vortioxetine doses were investigated because both 10 mg and 20 mg demonstrated nominally significant improvements in MADRS total score and response rate, and acceptable tolerability, in the secondary analysis of a randomized, placebo-controlled, multinational, 8-week, Phase 2/3 trial of vortioxetine that included Japanese participants with MDD. 16 After the treatment period, study drugs were withdrawn, at which point patients entered a 4-week safety follow-up period for the analysis of outcomes of adverse events.

The initial nominally significant associations between the Mean(RMLD) and patellar cartilage volume failed to retain statistical significance.
A shared overlap set of 69 variants were nominally significant and of a concordant direction of effect in both study populations; twelve of these variants had marked risk effects (Table 2 ).
Besides, among the association results from the only published GWAS in ALI [ 27 ], genes involved in neuron differentiation were also overrepresented among the nominally significant hits, including those encoding molecules implicated in neural and vascular functions ( S2 Table ), again being the only process overlapping with the results from the microarray studies in the sepsis animal model.
Motts Mill Virus and Craigies Hill Virus Affected the Expression of Genes Related to Development Of the 454 genes that displayed a logFC of more than 0.5 in response to Craigies Hill virus infection, only 4 were nominally significant (adjusted p -value threshold of 0.001; Figure 2 ).
The GO term “synapse” was nominally significant only when the KNR L1 gene list from the cocaine population was input (Table 1 A).
It is a Chi square-based test that assesses whether the observed number of studies with nominally significant results is larger than their expected number.
We found nominally significant positive correlations between the BRIEF GEC and positive and disorganization symptoms endorsed on the SIPS ( Fig. 2d–f ), indicating that individuals with 3q29del and poorer EF experience more severe psychosis spectrum symptoms on average.
In total, 53% of white matter PVS risk loci showed nominally significant associations (27% after multiple-testing correction) in a Japanese population-based cohort ( N = 2,862; 68.3 ± 5.3 yr).
Following Bonferroni correction, P < 0.0038 was considered to indicate statistical significance, and P values ranging from 0.0038 to 0.05 were considered to indicate a nominally significant association.
for both association pairs remain nominally significant given the respective other transcript versus ‘uni-directional’ triplets where association is directionally independent ( Figure 1 a).
Among 39 polymorphic sites, 20 had significantly lower expression in strains with the insertion, 2 had nominally significant differences in the opposite direction, and 17 were not significantly different.
In AFFIRM, the differences in mean EDSS over 96 weeks and at Week 96 were both nominally significant in favor of natalizumab treatment versus placebo.
However, the likelihood of a hip fracture risk reduction is enhanced by a significant ( P = 0.02) trend of reducing HR with duration of supplementation in the no personal supplements group and by nominally significant risk reductions over the entire follow-up period among adherent women, both in the overall trial cohort and in the no personal supplements subset (Table 6 ).
Although DQB1*05:02 ( P =6.3×10 −3 ) and DQB1*03:01 ( P =0.04) showed nominally significant associations with IHS-LST, there were no HLA-DQB1 alleles that reached the threshold after correction for multiple comparisons.
Our results indicate that the individual SNP rs1176744 (Tyr129Ser) was nominally significant and a major haplotype formed by rs1176744, rs3758987, and rs4938056 in HTR3B showed significant association with the FTND score.

A Bonferroni-corrected p -value was set as 0.01 (0.05/five outcomes), and meanwhile p < 0.05 was regarded as nominally significant. 2.4 Sensitivity analysis Sensitivity analysis was pivotal in MR studies to detect underlying pleiotropy and heterogeneity for MR estimates.

A p value of 0.05 or less was deemed nominally significant and 0.01 or less definitely significant, given the 5 primary outcome variables.
36 This variant was associated with a lower abundance of Parabacteroides, 36 a genus that is potentially linked to body weight and inflammation, 37 , 38 and with nominally significant altered abundance of certain carbohydrate-digesting genera, including higher abundance of Blautia, 39 a genus that might play a role in metabolic and inflammatory diseases. 40 As the studied European variant only results in a modest reduction in SI activity, the effect of the Arctic-specific complete LoF variant on microbiome composition could potentially be greater.
Results were reported as beta (β) values with standard errors for continuous outcomes, and odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for binary outcomes; p-values below 0.05 were considered nominally significant.
While nominally significant HLA associations have been reported, no study to our knowledge has reported unequivocal statistical significance or the dissection of the complex linkage disequilibrium (LD) relationships in the MHC.
