Three TEs show associations with latitude, Tmax or both: FBti0019386 shows significant association with latitude and Tmax, FBti0019056 shows a marginally non-significant association with latitude and a marginally significant association with Tmax and FBti0019164 shows a marginally non-significant association with Tmax ( Table 2 ).
However, genetic correlations both within (23°C: r g = 0.23 (−0.23–0.61), P = 0.165; 25°C: r g = 0.38 (−0.07–0.71), P = 0.063) and between temperatures (female 23°C, male 25°C: r g = 0.24 (−0.23–0.62), P = 0.156; female 25°C, male 23°C: r g = 0.10 (−0.36–0.52), P = 0.339), are positive but non-significant (although the correlation within 25°C is only marginally non-significant).
To return to our monitor lizard example, we now illustrate the test.windex function on the same set of traits as were used above for the windex function: > test.windex(dat, tree, traits=c(“headD”, “UforelimbL”, “UhindlimbL”),SE=TRUE, reps=2000, col=“light grey”) $` P value=` [1] 0.097 The P -value obtained here is 0.097, marginally non-significant and therefore indicating that although convergence is present in Varanus , 11 it is not exceptionally strong in the selected traits for burrowing.
P1 experiment – focal male 1 st to mate Dietary effects on pre-copulatory traits There was a marginally non-significant quadratic effect of focal male protein intake on our measure of male attractiveness to virgin females (the latency of virgin females to mate with the focal male), in which the nutritional landscape peaked at an intermediate protein intake of ~500 μg and a low-to-intermediate carbohydrate consumption (~150 μg to ~1500 μg; Dispersion: 0.218; Protein*Protein: F 1,206 = 3.454, p-value = 0.064; Table S2 ) with P:C ratios lying between 3:1 and 1:3 ( Fig. 3a ).
