Analysis of variance for the GT, GC and AC traits in the population containing the 462 accessions from 2011-2013 at the Nanjing site indicated extremely significant effects due to the genotype, year, year × genotype, and replications within year for the GC and AC traits, but nonsignificant effects due to the replications within year on GT (0.83) (Additional file 4 : Table S3).
For strain A1, among the seven tested antimicrobials (gentamicin, enrofloxacin, florfenicol, ceftiofur sodium, doxycycline hydrochloride, tetracycline hydrochloride, oxytetracycline), the MIC values showed extremely significant increases (16–64-fold) for all except gentamicin and enrofloxacin—whose MIC values were consistent with those of the original strain—with the most remarkable enhancement in resistance to florfenicol (64-fold).
Greenhouse experiments showed that co-culture filtrates can increase the number of leaves relative to control, and more importantly, the co-culture was able to simulate female flower development and disease resistance to bacterial diseases which were extremely significant for the safety and high production of cucumber.
52 Significant or extremely significant correlations between HMs indicated the presence of homologous or compound contamination. 53 Pearson correlation analysis of shallow-soil HMs concentration showed ( Table 3 ) that As and Be, As and Zn were highly significant ( P < 0.01) with correlation coefficients of 0.723 and 0.616, respectively, but Be and Zn were not correlated, indicated that As had two sources.
