However, it is important to highlight that the interaction related to LRP1 came close to significance ( p -value of 0.057).
The p -values close to significance thresholds may reflect underlying trends, but firm conclusions cannot be drawn at this stage.
Among at least 16 different GWASs on drug response since the first was published in late 2007, less than half have shown genome-wide significance, although some potentially interesting associations that come close to significance have been detected in several of the studies in this category. 15 Altogether, these reports suggest that conventionally corrected P -values for the combined samples are not the only criteria to find true associations between SNPs and the phenotypes examined.
Even when confronting angry individuals with neutral ones, the meta-analysis found an overall effect size only close to significance – but with an opposite (i.e., positive) effect of anger on information processing ( McKasy, 2020 ).

In the multivariate analysis, we considered variables such as obesity, hypertension, surgery, and sex, which, although they did not reach statistical significance, had p -values close to significance and are relevant in our clinical context.
Indeed, a p -value close to significance was obtained.
SCC R is related to locomotor behaviours Independent of geomean (a proxy for body size), the SCC radius of curvature ( R ) is not significantly correlated with locomotion in the PGLS in both regression formulas ( R ~ geomean + locomotion, and R ~ geomean × locomotion); however, both regressions have p ‐values close to significance (Table 1 ; Figure 3 ).

English as the primary language at home (OR = 2.00, 95% CI = 0.99, 4.02, p = 0.052) and living arrangements (OR = 1.90, 95% CI = 0.93, 3.86, p = 0.077) were close to significance.
