When we analysed the proportional hazard assumption for the one-year risk of primary outcomes in patients who discontinued OAC compared to those who maintained OAC after PSM, we found potential non-proportional hazards for all-cause death (χ 2 10.834), and MACE (χ 2 25.283), with borderline non-significant values for major bleeding (χ 2 3.770) ( Fig. 3 ).
However, when the analyses were adjusted for cardiorespiratory fitness, the relationship between gray matter volume and academic achievement was borderline non-significant, suggesting a role of fitness in modulating brain development in different metabolic phenotypes, that, due to the lack of similar studies, needs to be further explored.
The exclusion of participants taking beta-blockers at baseline had little effect on the association between PACs and AF and between PVC and HF, but it slightly attenuated the association between PACs and HF (HR = 1.40, 0.97–2.02, P = 0.07) and between PVC and LTVA (HR = 1.71, 0.99–2.93, P = 0.052), which both became borderline non-significant (see Supplementary material online , Table S7 ).
In the sensitivity analyses with grace periods of 30 and 90 days, female patients receiving their first CSA prescription by a rheumatologist were also at a reduced risk of CSA discontinuation ( Supplementary eTable S8 and Supplementary eTable S9 ), while the result was borderline non-significant in the main analysis (HR = 0.75, 95% CI: 0.55–1.01).
With regard to the neutralizing antibody titers, the following results were observed ( Table 2 ): 1) for the Alpha variant, there was a negative association with age and smoking, although this did not reach statistical significance; 2) for the Beta variant, there was a borderline non-significant negative association with smoking habit; and 3) for the wild-type variant, there was no association.
There was a borderline non-significant difference in mental distress between those that had a knee problem and those that did not; the percentage meeting the threshold for mental distress on the HSCL-10 was 21% (21/100) of those with knee problems and 12.4% of those without knee pain (26/209) (p = 0. 0.052; OR 1.9 95% CI 1.0 to 3.5) (Table 1 ).
