With frontal regions still undergoing maturation, it is possible that the predicted brain age differences observed in the hazardous ACoA group (and approaching significance within the non-hazardous ACoA group) reflect a delayed process of cortical maturation of frontal regions rather than the accelerated brain aging often observed with studies examining alcohol use disorders and psychiatric conditions using brain age estimations in older participant groups.

The difference between interactions was approaching significance between age groups in the resolution phase.

No other area showing decreased GMV was found to have a corrected cluster probability value approaching significance.

While the rTSA group did not reach statistical significance (r = -0.33, P = 0.11), it appeared to be approaching significance since the r-value suggested a moderate correlation could be found.

Since this result was approaching significance, we further tested whether participants showed any inclination to rank Cynghanedd sentences in the top two choices by coding the response as 1 if Cynghanedd sentences were ranked 1st or 2nd, or as 0 if Cynghanedd sentences were ranked 3rd or 4th.

However, normalization of ligand-stimulated phospho-PDGFR levels to unstimulated phospho-PDGFR levels for each sample indicated lower relative induction approaching significance for PDGFRβ homodimers following 5 min of ligand stimulation in the PDGFRαV1/βV2 cell line compared to this same timepoint in the PDGFRβV1/βV2 cell line (Supplementary Fig. 11C ), indicating that PDGFRα/β heterodimers may indeed serve as ligand sinks.

Our study also found that the mediation is approaching significance between ToM and social preference through externalizing behavior.

Even more importantly, the sign of the correlation coefficient was negative, indicating that a longer Pe latency was associated (at a level approaching significance) with a shorter SSRT in the emotional stop-signal condition.
