Anxiety Sensitivity There was a small to moderate ( η 2 = 0.04) reduction in anxiety sensitivity from pre‐ (M ± SD: 40 ± 13.1) to post‐intervention (M ± SD: 34.4 ± 14.7) that approached significance ( F [1] = 3.04, p = 0.08; Figure 4B ).
Although there were no statistically significant differences between users and non-users for the four scaffolding measures, the emotional-verbal comparison approached significance, F (1,102) = 3.14, p = 0.08, η 2 = 0.03.
Post hoc analyses revealed that the difference between typing and verbal responses approached significance in list lengths of 2 ( F (1,74) = 3.08, p = .08, η p 2 = 0.02), was significant in favor of verbal responses for list lengths of 3 ( F (1,74) = 5.79, p = .019, η p 2 = 0.04), and not significant for list of 4 ( F (1,74) = 0.04, p = 1.0) and 5 ( F (1,74) = 1.68, p = .198) numbers.
The interaction between animal type and effects of LPS on HA flow approached significance ( F (1,13) = 3.65, p = 0.08), but post hoc HA flow increases in the sham and reductions in the BDL groups (sham p = 0.56 vs BDL p = 0.29; Fig. 5b ) were both non-significant.
All other groups show reduced variance in bi-modal, relative to uni-modal conditions for visual responses: compare dark and light green bars in Fig 3 , this approached significance for 6–7 year olds and 8–9 year olds ( p = 0.08, p = 0.07 for groups 6–7 and 8–9 years, all other age groups p >0.1, from paired t -tests).
Basal fasted glucose levels in HF mice compared to LF approached significance after both 3 days ( P = 0.08) and 1 week ( P = 0.052) on diet but were not different after 16 weeks.
However, differences between groups in mean CSF% approached significance (F(1,75)=3.22, P =0.08, =0.04), and while GABA did not correlate with CSF%, there was a trend-level correlation between Glx and CSF% ( r =−0.21, P =0.06).
The presence of the fosfomycin resistance gene fosB approached significance ( p = 0.08), with 62.5% of control isolates harboring this gene ( n = 8) compared to 12.5% of CRSsNP isolates ( n = 8) and 20% of CRSwNP isolates ( n = 5) ( Figure 1 b).

Secondary outcomes The median [IQR(range)] peri-operative change in PaO 2 /FiO 2 ratio in the PDT group was + 5.5 [− 29.3—34.8 (− 328.6–540.4)] mmHg, compared to − 2.1 [− 67.1–32.4 [− 253.2–130.8)] mmHg in the ST group, which approached significance ( p = 0.08, Table 2 ).
The difference between JNDs for men's and women's ratings of attractiveness approached significance (independent-sample t-test: t(6) = 2.05, p = 0.08, Cohen's d = 1.45).
The RANOVA of the PCN amplitudes yielded a significant main effect of task, F (1,13) = 6.61, p < 0.05, η 2 p = 0.43; the main effect of task sequence non-significant ( F < 1); the task × task sequence interaction approached significance, F (1,13) = 3.70, p = 0.08, η 2 p = 0.22), owing to the fact that switching task tended to increase the PCN amplitude for the detection task (−2.12 μV and −2.22 μV for detection → detection and discrimination → detection sequences, respectively), while tending to decrease the amplitude for the discrimination task (−2.52 and −2.29 μV for discrimination → discrimination and detection → discrimination sequences, respectively).
Education level was not associated with the ability to identify whole-grain foods correctly, but it approached significance ( P = 0.08).
Ratings between Accept and Suppress approached significance [ t (20) = 1.84, P = 0.08, Cohen’s d = 0.82].
Although the proportions of men and women in the AD and healthy control groups was similar, χ 2 (1, N = 54) = 0.8, p = .78, the proportions of men and women in the bvFTD and healthy control groups approached significance, χ 2 (1, N = 59) = 3.1, p < .08.
Duration of smoking and current smoking had a positive association with the loneliness score but testing for correlations between the two groups approached significance ( p = 0.08 and p = 0.09, respectively).
However, statistically significant differences were present in baseline demographics and tumor characteristics including age, Charlson Comorbidity Index, tumor size, T-stage, and whether or not the surgery was performed at a high-volume center; clinical N-stage approached significance in favor of MIA (P=0.08).
The 2 × 2 × 2 (Congruency × Format match × Participant group) ANOVA on subtractive priming showed a significant interaction between Congruency and Participant group, F (1, 34) = 5.81, p < .05, and an interaction between Format match and Participant group that approached significance, F (1, 34) = 3.27, p = .08.
For the amyloid-positive group using the 2-SD threshold (n = 49), the SUVR × time interaction was again significant for episodic memory (Est [SE] = −1.33 [0.54]; P = .02), and approached significance for MMSE (Est [SE] = −1.91 [1.05]; P = .08) (eTable 4 and eFigure 3 in the Supplement ).
Only the VR-MW + tDCS active group approached significance ( p = .080), showing a tendency for longer RTs.
P1 At 100 ms, amplitudes over the RH were slightly larger than those over the LH, although this effect only approached significance: F (1,12) = 3.48, MSe = 4.19, η p 2 = 0.23, p = 0.08.
