Conclusions To sum up, the results of our study indicate a growing trend for the use of testosterone and anabolic–androgenic steroids and an increasing trend for gaining knowledge about these substances and their possible side effects, which unfortunately goes hand in hand with an unfavorable trend towards self-diagnosis and self-treatment of these effects.
In the univariate analysis in the chemoimmunotherapy cohort, CD8-high ( P = 0.0060) showed a significant association with PFS, while ECOG-PS ≥ 1 ( P = 0.0014) and SCLC-P (vs SCLC-I) ( P = 0.037) had an unfavorable association, and clinical stage (C-Stage ≥ IVB) ( P = 0.070) and SCLC-N (vs SCLC-I) ( P = 0.068) showed an unfavorable trend with PFS (Table 2 ).
Additionally, within donors aged ≥65 y, the absence of an association (or even an unfavorable trend) between exact donor age and survival, or between donor age ≥70 versus 65-69 and survival, is reassuring, as it indicates that at least up to the maximum donor age of 76 in this study, there are no insurmountable survival disadvantages attributable to increased donor age that cannot be largely mitigated by careful donor selection.
An earlier randomized clinical trial (RCT) comparing edoxaban and warfarin showed an unfavorable trend for low-dose edoxaban to prevent systemic embolism and stroke. 14 However, a recent published RCT for elderly Asian patients with AF favored low-dose edoxaban to prevent systemic embolism and stroke. 26 The optimal dose for Asian patients using edoxaban needs to be determined by further studies.
