31 A recent study 32 showed that in 129 patients receiving statins, 123 initiated statins within 4 weeks, and in 600 patients not on statins, multivariate logistic regression analysis demonstrated that poststroke statins were associated with a significant probability of a favorable outcome at 12 weeks and mRS, whereas prestroke statins demonstrated a trend toward significance.
Some studies have reported a non-significant relationship with stroke severity (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale, NIHSS) on multivariable analysis, though there was a trend toward significance. 21 , 33 In contrast, other studies report an association that remained significant on multivariable analysis. 34 In a cohort of lacunar strokes, those with severe frailty were approximately 2.5-times more likely to have a severe stroke than individuals with non-severe frailty. 35 Other studies in ischemic strokes of embolic etiology have also reported a significant but weak association between FI and NIHSS. 14 These disparate findings may reflect the different methods of assessing frailty, limited sample size, and heterogeneous controlling for bias.
Given that there was a trend toward significance for the Flanker response time cost (incongruent RT−congruent RT), further examination of this result revealed that the carrier group actually exhibited an inverse cost (for example, they performed better on the harder condition of the Flanker task), a result that is inconsistent with design and utility of this task across a wealth of literature. 30 The inclusion of Non-verbal IQ as an additional covariate in the ANCOVA analyses resulted in the same pattern of effects observed above.
There were 68 patients who provided relapse information during follow-up, the analysis of which demonstrated that there was a trend toward significance that low PRELP expression was correlated with shorter relapse free survival (RFS) time with an HR of 2.17 [estimated mean RFS, 47.34 months; 95%CI, 35.64-59.64 months; vs. 59.66 months; 95%CI, 51.23-68.08 months; log-rank test, p =0.099, Figure 2 D ].
The variant rs112076606 (A/G) showed a trend toward significance with both BMIC and UIC, whereby participants with the genotype rs112076606 (AA) had a higher BMIC and UIC compared to rs112076606 (AG+GG) carriers, suggesting AA homozygotes to have a higher overall iodine excretion compared to their G allele carrier counterparts.
However, there was a trend toward significance in that crewmembers who spent longer time at the ISS tended to have larger increases in their semispinalis capitis muscle CSA equivalent to roughly a 2% additional increase per every five days of extra time on the ISS ( R 2 = 0.88, p < 0.1) ( Figure 6 ).
In addition, we found a significant interaction between genotype and print area (Figure 2D ; F [3,72] = 4.06; p = 0.023), with post‐hoc tests showing significant reductions in print area for the right front (RF) paw of NSG1 KO animals ( p < 0.05), while all other paws showed similar magnitude changes and a trend toward significance (Figure 2D ).
The assertion that implementation of the FASTHUG concept substantially impacted our SICU population is supported by the following: (1) the increased SOI index among the patients in the post FASTHUG time frame was coupled with a trend toward significance in the decreased patient hospital LOS, and (2) the post-FASTHUG population did not have increased lengths of stay in the SICU in the face of a higher SOI index.
