Clinical analysis Although no significant differences in terms of lean and total adipose tissues were observed (data not shown), in HE group visceral adipose tissue showed a decreasing trend ( P =0.08) that resulted significant when normalized by total adipose tissue ( P =0.03) ( Table 1 ).

Similarly, lovastatin had little effect on rumen fermentation characteristics except that the proportion of propionate increased, which led to a decreasing trend (P<0.08) in acetic: propionate ratio with increasing dosage of lovastatin.

A decreasing trend in diversity was observed from day 1 (control) to day 5 (control, p = 0.08), whereas no significant difference between day 1 (control) to day 5 (antibiotic treated) ( p = 0.32).

Nile tilapia subjected to SD showed a significant decrease in MB expression of oncart1b2 and oncart3a , as well as a decreasing trend in the expression of oncart1b1 (p = 0.08) ( Figure 8 ). oncart1b2 decreased in expression in the FB, while oncart1b1 increased in expression in the HB.

FT3 and 25OH-vitD showed a decreasing trend across the three groups (FT3: P = 0.08, 25OH-vitD: P = 0.13).

In Oim mice, Col1a2 expression was significantly lower in males and showed a decreasing trend in females ( p = 0.08) compared to sex-matched WT (Fig. 3 B).

However, there was a decreasing trend in the Simpson index in the BP and AM groups compared to CON ( p = 0.08) ( Figure 5 B,C), indicating a tendency of elevated microbial diversity in the BP and AM groups.
