Similarly, the link from maternal AD liability (ukb-b-14699) to a lower risk of insomnia (ukb-b-3957) remained highly significant with the Weighted Median method ( p = 7.67 × 10 −7 ), However, in line with our multi-method approach to identify potential bias, a significant MR-Egger intercept ( p = 0.008) suggests that substantial some caution is warranted due to potential horizontal pleiotropy.

The SNP (g.48476925C > T) and the 3-bp indel (g.48476943_48476946insGGC) in the upstream region of ACVR2A produced a highly significant signal ( P = 8.32 × 10 −7 ; Fig. 1b , Table 1 ), whereas the 21-bp indel in the 5′-UTR and the SNP in the 3′-UTR of ACVR2A were not associated with ANAI 4 ( P = 0.028 and P = 0.51, respectively).
The correlation between the percentages of CD27 low IFN-γ + cells and the form of lung pathology was highly significant (r = 0.63, p = 8.7×10 −7 ), but it was likely secondary to lung destruction: it appeared only when higher scores were assigned to more destructive TB forms (i.e., tuberculoma – score 1; TB infiltrate – score 2; cavitary TB – score 3; caseous pneumonia – score 4); within a group of patients with the same form of lung TB pathology (e.g., TB infiltrate) the percentages of CD27 low IFN-γ + cells correlated with lung destruction (r = 0.45, p<0.01).
Interestingly, the oxidative phosphorylation pathway, and more specifically, the respiratory chain complex I, was highly significant (Hyper-Geometric test, P=8.74E-7) showing upregulation in primary NSCLC tumors that spread to the brain ( Figure 4B ).
This is a highly significant excess of retroposition events off the X-chromosome (χ 2 = 27.884; df = 2; p = 8.8 × 10 -7 ).
For both newborn cord blood and maternal blood, the enrichment was highly significant ( p = 8.85 × 10 − 7 for newborn cord blood; p = 5.70 × 10 − 13 for maternal blood; Fisher’s exact test, two-sided).
Directly comparing the distribution of RSN states evoked by replay and by stimulus identified a clear differential distribution with highly significant increases in RSN states 1 and 2 ( Figure 2 D; one-sided t test, p = 8.9e–7 for RSN state 1 and p = 1.9e−4 for RSN state 2).
Overall, the reconciled tree contained 44 duplication and 28 deletion events, of which only one duplication but 15 deletions were assigned to socially parasitic lineages, a highly significant difference ( Χ 2 = 24.18, p = 9e−07, df = 1).
Most notable were an increase in dead, sub-G1 cells (from 4.5% to 9.3%, P = 0.00173) in the siNR2F2 treated W-V cells and a highly significant decrease in cells in S-phase in siNR2F2 treated U2OS cells (from 19.5% to 6.6%, P = 9.0e−07) that was accompanied by increases in G1 and G2-M, suggesting a cell cycle arrest (Supplementary Figure S6 ).
In contrast, CSA knockout led to strong decrease of the EGFP expression in comparison to the parental cell line, which was highly significant for both cyclo-dA stereoisomers ( P = 9.0 × 10 −7 for 5′ R - and P = 8.5 × 10 −7 for 5′ S -cyclo-dA, heteroscedastic Student's t -test).
Assessment of API5 revealed a significant association with body mass index (BMI) and a borderline significant association with neutrophil count ( p -value = 9 × 10 −7 ).
