All the above-described effects are highly significant from zero ( Figure 1 B), with p < 10 −10 , except for KantF, which had a p value of 0.0073.

Moreover, assessing, collectively, only those ( H +)-carrying CEHs that had a single representation in the WTCCC, the disease association is still highly significant and of similar magnitude to other ( H +)-carrying CEHs (i.e., OR = 3.0; CI = 2.7 − 3.4; p < 10 −10 ).

This difference in population frequencies between the African and European populations was highly significant ( p < 1 × 10 −10 ).
Eighteen of the highly significant ( p ‐value > 10 −10 ) associations were not near any a priori candidate genes.
The difference observed between active (or inactive ) subdomains and repressed subdomains is statistically highly significant ( p < 1×10 −10 , Wilcoxon test).
Average Movement Duration, Velocity and Distance The average duration of movement events is the most distinctive feature of thrips behavior between these two genotypes with highly significant scores of P = 10 −10 in the best experiment 3 with 39 samples ( Tables 1 , 2 ).
We observed highly significant differences in ventral gill raker number and spacing between marine LITC and freshwater FTC fish for both wild and lab-reared fish ( P <10 -10 ) for each comparison by Tukey’s HSD test; Figure 1 C, D, Additional file 4 : Figure S3).
When intermittent shedders are compared to continuous shedders, using the G-rho family of Harrington and Fleming, a highly significant difference between the survival of intermittent and continuous shedders is obtained ( p < 1.e-10).
These overlaps are highly significant ( P <10 −10 , hypergeometric test).
Hypergeometric enrichment analyses showed that these overlaps were highly significant ( p < 1e−10), supporting a non-random and biologically meaningful association among these factors (Fig. 3 C).
The agreement between the datasets/methods is moderate (de Lichtenberg et al , 2005a ), (Supplementary Information, Fig 24), but nevertheless highly significant ( P < 10 −10 in all pair wise Fisher tests).
This represented a highly significant overall decline in the inheritance of BMI with increasing exercise (P<10 −10 ).
Compared to the expectation under random assignment, this is an over-representation in this category of 40% in yeast and 29% in human, which is modest, but because of the large numbers, highly significant (both p<1e-10).
Indeed, we observed a highly significant enrichment of H3K9 methylation at 49 known 26G loci ( Vasale et al. 2010 ) compared to 100 random genes ( P -value < 1 × 10 −10 ) ( Fig. 5C ).
With weak ( m = 10 − 8 ) or strong introgression ( m = 10 − 7 ), on the other hand, the D -statistic was in the ranges of 0.04–0.31 and 0.33–0.73, respectively, and in all cases highly significant ( P < 10 − 10 ) ( Fig. 2b,c ).
Both correlations were extremely significant (p<10 −10 ).
Notably, magnesium, potassium, Folate, and vitamins A, C and E demonstrated highly significant associations with Prudent dietary adherence ( p < 1 × 10− 10 ), consistent with their known roles in oxidative stress, inflammation, and vascular health [ 67 ].
We detected highly significant broad-sense heritability for sensitivity ( H 2 sens = 0.37, 0.14, and 0.21 for cisplatin, EMS, and HU, P < 10 −10 in all cases).
The difference between the total scores of the study population (29) and the norm population in 1988 (35.79) was highly significant ( p < 10 −10 ) [ 1 ].
Post-hoc t-tests showed a highly significant difference between FM (mean number of trials = 37.12; s.d. = 7.3) and FH (mean number of trials = 5.5; s.d. = 2.37) (t 16 = 14.94, P <10 −10 ).
Although the differences between 10 (jMOSAiCS specific) and unenriched regions did not appear as pronounced as the differences between 11 (enriched according to both methods) versus 00 (unenriched according to both methods), the observed differences were highly significant ( P values < 1 × e -10 with both the t-test and Wilcoxon rank-sum test), indicating that these regions are enriched for H4K3me3.
For genes from each cluster, he used a tool to run enrichment analysis and visually examined groupings of annotations that were highly significant (e.g. p ≤ 10 -10 ).
This indeed revealed statistically highly significant (p < 1e-10) overrepresentation of genes encoding cytoplasmic ( AtMDL2 ) and plastid-specific ( AtMDL1 ) ribosomal proteins (Additional file 4 : Table S2; sheet “overrepresented BINs”).
A P -value of 0.007 was achieved when testing the difference between carbonate content between low-grade DCIS and ICs G1, whereas the statistical difference between moderate-grade DCIS and IC G2 and high-grade DCIS and IC G3 were once again highly significant with P -values <10 −10 .
