239.3 cm) compared to Sb, and in both cases differences resulted highly significant ( p = 2.2×10 −16 and p = 2.7×10 −15 for MAT and PH, respectively).

Interestingly, pairwise comparisons of the data from each analysis yielded highly significant positive correlations (Pearson’s test, P < 2.2 × 10 −16 ) ( Figure 3 ; Supplementary Table 3 , available online).

Altogether, these results suggest that moonlighting proteins are prone to be involved in human diseases as it is pointed by it respective ODD ratios; 16.47 (CI 95% 10.95–25.44) in the OMIM analysis being highly significant (Fisher’s exact test value; p < 2.2e-16) (See S6 Table).
The traits are much more correlated in both twin groups than in twin-spouse pairs or unrelated individuals (all comparisons were highly significant, p < 2.2e16).
In fact, the least significant (i.e., highest) p -value observed in any factorial ANOVA corresponded to a main effect term (intrinsic disorder in Plants: p = 4.13 × 10 −6 ), while all other terms across all analyses were highly significant ( p < 2.2 × 10 −16 ).
The concordance score based on the χ 2 -test is highly significant (p < 2.2e-16), and the overall accuracy to clinical types is 71.6%, as measured by rand measure, a metric for the percentage of agreement on a pair of samples belonging to the same group.
Strikingly, as in human cells, we found a highly significant correlation between 8-oxodG and γH2AX signals within the mouse genes (Pearson correlation test, r = 0.9; P < 2.2e–16) (Figure 4F ).
The observed overlap was highly significant ( P value < 2.2 × 10 −16 ), indicating strong concordance between the 2 datasets.

This yielded a highly significant correlation of the average methylation levels between both species (Pearson's correlation rho = 0.611, p < 2.2E−16) indicating, that on a global level, the patterns of gene regulation have been conserved between marmoset and human sperm (Figure 3 ).
