The observation that variations in PTEN levels have highly significant effects on cancer susceptibility 14 underscores the importance of discovering and analyzing ceRNA-based mechanisms of controlling cellular PTEN levels.

There was a highly significant positive relationship between glucose removal and log lactate accumulation (LME: Log lactate accumulation = (0.084 * glucose removal) + 0.54; marginal R 2 LME = 0.86; conditional R 2 LME = 0.86; n (observations) = 27; n (animals) = 10; T = 7.06; df = 14; p < 0.001).
